Great tool if you need more reach in all sort of photography situations!

I thought I would not find a use for an extension arm until I saw a review. Now I use it all the time, not just for photography. Mount a light and then you have a very versatile reading lamp.

As advertised. Purchased to use for macro photography, works great. Attaches easily to my tripod The sandbag and tool accessories are a great addition. I recommend this product.

I picked up the AMBITFUL Tripod Extension Arm - 42" Retractable Horizontal Center Column Boom Arm to be used for my overhead photo/videos for product pictures and reviews. In the bag, you receive the extendable arm with tripod mount, 1/4 & 3/8 tripod head attachment point on one end, loop on the other side with an "end ring" (to hold the carabiner that holds the counterweight), carabiner (to hold onto the counterweight), counterweight bag, and a phone clip. The base of the unit has a 1/4 thread to mount on the top of your tripod.Overall, if you're looking for a good mounting system to do overhead or over-table product shots, you may want to consider picking up this AMBITFUL Tripod Extension Boom Arm for yourself.

Most boom arms allow the pivot point to slide up/down the middle section but not this one. It is fixed, so although the total length is up to 42", the max boom is only 21" which is a waste.The big problem is that it only comes with threads in the larger end, which is way bigger than any camera mount I have. After playing with it for a while, I discovered that with much effort that piece comes out and can be flipped around and threaded into the other end which then exposes the normal size threads. However, the normal size is bent, so anything threaded into it is on an angle. I tried several camera / adapters and all had this angle, so the issue is with the tripod piece. The same items threaded directly to the tripod (without the boom arm) did not have the angle.
