Sergei Prokofiev: Sonata Opus 94 for Flute and Piano (Moern Russian Masterworks) (Modern Russian Masterworks)

Prokofiev is an amazing composer, and I was so excited when I heard that he had written a piece for flute! This sonata contains many varied moods, and showcases all of the essential skills of the well-rounded flutist. Be it technical skill, tone quality, or expressive playing, there are challenges for players of all types.The flute and piano parts compliment each other perfectly, and this sonata is really a team effort. Both parts are important and together sound amazing. This is one of my favorite flute pieces, and I'm really happy my teacher assigned me the 1st movement!

Shipping was quite late but the product is exactly as expected

This is an inexpensive edition which might be appropriate for students. But there is nothing "revised" or new about this edition. It is basically the Rampal edition, which strays terribly far from the original Prokofiev score. It includes all the old active jumps and articulation that Rampal added for the International edition. I don't recommend it. However, at least the editors annotated where this edition varies from the original. (So does the Rampal/International edition.) There are also some bad page turns in the flute part which could easily have been avoided. I recommend the new Sikorsky edition. Although it is not without flows, it does stay faithful to the original, errors and all.

Very nice book for teaching flute to students, great price, arrives on time and in good condition.

It is difficult to review a piece of sheet music other than to say the paper and print quality is good.

19 pages d'une très intéressante musique de Prokofiev. La partition est très proche de l'original, les quelques modifications sont notées et me paraissent par ailleurs rehausser l'intérêt de la musique. Le niveau est assez élevé, mais pas inabordable pour quelqu'un qui a un peu d'expérience.

楽譜なので良いとか悪いとか内容に関してはありません。商品としては、フルートが別冊になっていて、印刷も問題なく見やすいです。
