This cast iron basting pot is good for occasional use, but I'd invest in a better quality one if you will use it frequently. Overall I liked it, but didn't love it.Pros - It's deep enough to hold a good amount of sauce for basting.It has nice pore spouts.It's nice to have a cast iron product to heat up my sauces.Cons -I wish it was a better quality of cast iron. The surface on this one is pretty rough.It's difficult to clean due to the roughness of the surface.You have to clean it with chain mill or the steel sponge/brillo pad type cleaner. It will tear up a regular sponge.It's an okay price, but for $4 more I suggest buying a Lodge instead.
