Gets the job done
I bought this for a Mesa Mark IV short combo that is 18 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" tall, 10 1/2" deep and HEAVY. This stand fits it perfectly and is very stable. I like this stand so much that I recently purchased a second one for a second amp for a stereo setup. If you are trying to decide if this stand will fit your amp, the width is the most important factor. By my measurements, the points of contact on the amp would have to be in the range of 15" to 19" apart to hit the rubber end caps. With the angle that I currently have it set to, the top arm hits the back of the amp at about 11" up from the bottom so just make sure your amp has some sturdy contact points that are 15-19" apart and roughly 11" up from the bottom, otherwise you may have to rig something to adapt the stand to your amp.In terms of depth, the bottom arm comes in contact with my amp at about 5" from the back of the amp. The weight of my amp anchors it rock solidly into this stand. I can grab the back of my amp and pull it forward and the amp and stand will move forward as a unit.My only major complaint is that there are no angle markings to let you easily set it back up to the same angle. The fact that it is painted black makes it difficult to add your own markings, particularly if you need highly visible markings for setting up on a dark stage. With my new stereo setup, the annoyance is increased greatly since it makes it a hassle to get the two stands at the same angle. The manufacturer could add a simple little sticker with angle markings and that would eliminate this annoyance. It is worth noting that the only reason this annoyance exists is because this stand is so flexible in terms of the different angles you can set it at.

Fits Princeton Reverb
I have a few Quiklok guitar stands, and I have always been happy with their quality. I was considering this amp stand to get my circa '79 Princeton Reverb amp off the floor, but after reading the reviews regarding open-back amps I wasn't sure it would work. Took a chance, and the stand works perfectly with the Princeton Reverb. The back brace bar including end pieces is 20 inches. Also, the back bar hits below the input/outputs on the back of the amp, so no interference there. And build quality is consistent with my other Quiklok products.

Good solid amp stand for the money!
Bought 3 of them. They are solid and well made. I've got a 2-12 Mesa Boogie DC-10 that's really heavy and the stand has no problems with it (it's mostly a solid back amp). I've got a Crate 1-12 solid back and it's not a problem either. I have a Fender 2-12 that's an open back and there is the problem. The amp is 26" wide in the back and it is wider than the upper back support bar is wide. Not much of a problem though, you can pop off the rubber tube ends off the stand's upper cross bar and slip a smaller diameter tube all the way thru it in the length you need. I had a piece of black 3/4" steel tube that is 28" long, so I just slipped it thru and now the amp stand works fine, with the amp sides resting against the added tube. Seems to me the stand maker would recognize this and just make this a feature, where you can slip the upper tubes out to the length you need. Worked great for me, especially at a great price. This unit folds up nicely and is easy to carry around. I give it a 2-thumbs up and a "4" rating.

A Sane Solution
Looking at amp stands scares me until I see something like this that just makes so much sense for a small combo and is in no way risky. I've used this a lot on stage, and it points the amp so that nothing soaks into the floor and gets lost. I've used it outside, and it's amazing what an amp does when cocked back like this with no walls or ceiling in front of it. I've done two things to improve my stand: I get plastic weather insulation for pipes and make pads out of it by wrapping the contact areas with it. Also, I bought a big jar of BB's, mixed them with glue, and filled the bottom pipes with them so the whole setup would always be bottom heavy. That's not necessary though, and I used this item for several jobs with great results before doing all the mods.

Best Economical Amp Support
Easy setup, compact, reliable & trustworthy..secure amp stand. Will not move nor topple under weight of you amp. It let's you angle the face of the amp to project it's sound to hear what your sound is like and keeps you in the mix, not blaring out loud so you can hear yourself. Great all around stand, this replaces one that was left behind or lifted from a gih and economically does that. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts on this product.TP Ski

Good locking mechanism, lacks adjustable back support, not suitable for smaller amps
I purchased this QuikLok BS317 for holding my Fishman Loudbox, which has a 15-inch width. The QuickLok did not work for the Fishman because as the rubber bumpers were about 1 inch too widely spaced to cradle the amp. I temporarily made do by supplementing the rubber bumpers with cut pieces of preformed tube pipe insulation, which sort of worked. However, there was a more serious problem, which is that the upright arms on the QuickLok that support the back of the amp covered up some of the plugins on the back of the amp. These QuickLok upright arms are welded in place, a bad design flaw. Therefore, it's impossible to adjust them to uncover plugins you want to use.Another issue is that this isn't only "low profile" in the sense that it folds up, it is also "low" in that it doesn't hold amps far off the floor -- only about a foot off the floor (I don't have the unit here to measure, but that's about right. It seems like some design changes would help. One very simple one would be to make the rubber bumpers wider so that they can support smaller amps. Another nice addition would be sliding back supports that could be positioned so they don't cover the plugins.I ended up buying a Stageline AS7 that worked well for my smaller, 15-inch-wide amp. It has sliding back supports so the plugins aren't covered, and it raises the amp about 20 inches. The Stageline AS7 is made to raise the amp up to 27 inches, but I didn't feel it was stable enough at that height (see my review of the Stageline AS7).

Stand d'ampli

Seems very sturdy.
Glad that this allows me to angle the amps I use it for - including a Blackstar S1 45 and a Trace Acoustic. Also glad it gets the amps off the ground.

Macht das, was es soll
Bestens, stabil, standsicher. Benutze ich für meine Ampeg PF-115HE Box mit Ampeg PF-500 fest montiert, selbst beica. 28 kg Gewicht und der Tiefe der Box alles sehr gut. Empfehlung, gerne wieder.
