I had a large pressure cooker for canning which we lost the regulator for during multiple moves in the military. Saw this, said presto, I figured it's got to be right. Well, it was, and I'm glad I got it. My wife is now getting into canning and pressure cooking, so this was a nice replacement to get which wasn't going to cost me a ridiculous amount to get because it had a name brand on it. This is basic as it gets, but it serves the exact same purpose. Would recommend.

If you own a later model presto pressure cooker canner. This is not the correct part you need. It says it's compatible with model #0718001 it does not work. I could not figure out why! My canner was not holding pressure and it was do to the wrong steam gadge regulator. You will need the item #50332 pressure regulator part that has the 3 piece weight adjuster. I changed it and amazingly! I started to gain pressure. I thought originally it was my steam gadge dial so I had bought a new one of those as well. The steam dial works fine.

Worked fine as a replacement for an item I'd lost. No complaints.
