Quietcool 1266 CFM Smart App Controlled 2-Speed Roof Mount Attic Fan

It lives up to its name! It's both quiet and cool. I really like the Wi-Fi interface. I can make sure that it is working and circulating the air. I put a temperature sensor in my attic before putting this in and this fan has dropped the temperature in my attic about 30°. It's now running about 20 to 25° above the ambient temperature at the hottest part of the day. We have had the hottest days of the year recently and the attic has been much cooler than it was before installing this fan. I really like that it has seasonal settings so I can send it for winter or summer and it has custom settings that appeared to work well. The idea is that this will take a load off the HVAC system as well as extending the life of my roof. One caveat would be to make sure you get the proper size for the square footage of your house. I chose the smaller fan because the other ones were not noted to be available when I went to purchase. In retrospect I would have purchased the slightly bigger one. This is more than sufficient but I would have liked to have a fan that would put me a little more within 10° of ambient temperature. This one clocks out at about 20 to 25 at the highest and hottest part of the day. Suggest that you find a reputable roofer or contractor who has installed many of these. I know someone who is a contractor and he indicated he has installed a couple of thousand ventilation fans. He was able to pull up a view of my house and show me how he chose exactly where he was going to put it. This was off-center because he didn't want to draw equal air from the garage which was part of the attic but was not of course lived in. He also sealed off part of the ridge vent where the fan was going to be installed so that it would push air from the entire ridge vent as well as the soffits. So far I am very satisfied. The warranty on this product is very good. Initially when it was installed I called customer support and the gentleman was very knowledgeable and help me get started. Can't get better than that. It's nice to know that now I can "have it made in the sun or the shade"))

Easy install and easy set up. Has helped with the summer months in keeping that 4 pm heat creep away. Love this line of products

I live in Florida the temperature easily reaches 125° in my attic I install this it works when it wants to it keeps telling me the temperature sensor malfunctions so I have to go back up in that hot 124° attic and re push the buttons to make it restart at least two times a week. I guess the biggest issue is that the controls are made of plastic which is not a very good in 124° attic.

I installed my Quiet cool AFR SMT 2.0 3 speed attic fan on June 14, 2024. This fan is nothing short of Awesome! Today in Medford OR the temp ouitside is 85 degrees and for the first time my high speed is running more as the weather had been cooler!We keep our thermostat on 74 and usually on a day like this it kicks on around 11 AM. It is 3:10 PM as I write this and the air still has not kicked on! The warmer rooms of the home feel nice and cool. The garage is way cooler as well!The only thing I see is it would be nice to be WI FI ran and on high I do hear it more and has a humming sound to it! Does anyone else notice a hum? If so is there something more I can do to rid the hum?Thanks again quiet cool, I am very happy and am excited to see what happens with my power bill, not to mention less wear and tear on my Heat Pump!Lastly, the 15 year warranty is very nice!ThanksTim L
