You Want it? You Won't Get It Here ...
Well I've read this book, but it is clear that the proof readers didn't, going by the number of typing errors it contains.Very light on substance, 294 pages long it may be, but the double spacing type-set means the text takes up twice as much room as it needs to. While pages are devoted to poor black and white images that look like they were reproduced several times on an old photocopier before being added to the finished book. The discography and appendices really just seem another way of adding filler in order to take up a few more pages, while as for the mindless trivia list, the less said the better. As for the content, it quickly skims over Bryan's career with a very limited look at the music he has recorded. Each album is dissected through listing the songs contained and stating whether they are rockers or ballads, no real critical analysis is added beyond that.Would recommend you save your money and visit a local bookshop where you should be able to skim through the book in about ten minutes.

Casual Guide sums it up well
As there isn’t a great deal of stuff out there on Brian Adams, I’d recommend this.Yes, I am aware that it is a ‘casual guide’- but given that the only other book I know of about him is the ‘Fretted Biography’, this gives a (very) condensed career retrospective. It doesn’t pretend- or even claim- to be an in-depth biography of the man and his music, but it does offer a bit more information than a Wikipedia entry.

Lite but Good
Definitely a casual guide to BA's music. Gave some interesting information that I wasn't aware of... I didn't realize it, but there really is NOTHING out there on BA. Which is unusual. Daniels has a knack for writing stuff that I personally am interested in, so I picked this up on my Kindle. I did enjoy it. I wanted more information on the makings of each album, but the book doesn't really dig that deep. I would love MORE info on his relationship with Mutt... but that is glossed over. I mean... there's not much out there... Mutt is not talking... a lot of his friends aren't either... so that just leaves the music. I've read this one, and I read another one ... the 'fretted biography'... and both are okay... but not in depth. So... a lite guide to BA's music... I do recommend this.
