This is a beefy flashlight with a lot more to offer than most. First, the size. Like i said, it's beefy. This is about 1/3 larger than most other tactical lights and has a good amount of heft to it. The light isn't heavy by any stretch... at least not too heavy... but it has some weight to it for sure. Should you need to use it in a self-defense situation, the extra size and mass will come in handy, especially with the bludgeon bezel around the light. Along those lines it's also a very sturdy flashlight, seems to be made of aluminum and it's SOLID. Nothing rattles or feels loose, and it feels like a quality flashlight in the hand. There are rubber gaskets along the threaded joints to make it water RESISTENT. I wouldn't go diving with this flashlight, but it can take a little rain or a splash of water. There are two lights on this flashlight, a bright (but not 8000lm) main light, and a COB light along the side that can either be a floodlight or emergency red light which can either blink or give off a steady beam. The main light has a decent zoomable throw, and it seems to outshine my Pelican flashlight, which is saying something. Like i mentioned, this is not 8000 lumens as that would be a sun-gun. I'm guessing it's something more like 2000ish.. tops. Zoomed all the way out, this provides a decently long spot light that can be seen for quite a distance. The side light is more of a close-quarters light that can be used to illuminate a campsite or provide a nice glow on night hikes. both lights have high and low settings as well as strobe... but the side light only strobes on the emergency red light. Included is a nylon holster with a belt loop or d-ring-- depending on what you prefer-- and it seems to be pretty sturdy. There is also a mini clip-on COB light that works as an emergency keychain light or even a worklight thanks to the decently strong magnet on the back. Speaking of decently strong, the light itself has a good amount of throw to it as well for a tiny COB light. Everything comes well packed in a nice plastic storage box that keeps everything nice and secure. Both charge via USB-c and there is a battery indicator on the main flashlight.

I liked that this light was bright and I was happy with this flashlight until I really needed it. I packed it in my bag and set off on a hike in the Ouachita National Forest, even though it was day time I figured I should take it with me anyway. During the hike my drink spilt in my bag and rendered this flashlight absolutely USELESS. I of course got lost, and it of course got dark. It took search and rescue hours to find me, and I stood in the dark unable to see anything at all. Occasionally, the strobe light on the flashlight would randomly start to work and I wasn't able to turn it back off.. it didn't help search and rescue find me, but it did make the entire "being in the forest alone and afraid til midnight" thing a whole lot creepier.

This flashlight is made out of aircraft aluminum. It's slightly heavy (quality metal will cause that). There are 2 ways to power this flashlight. An included rechargeable battery (a 5000mah 3.7v li-ion) or 3 AAA. There is a battery holder for the AAA and a sleeve for it so if your alkaline corrode, it may not destroy the flashlight. There are 2 on/off switches on the barrel. The forward button turns on/off the side light. The side light is not as bright as the main light but it does have 4 on positions bright, dim, red bright, and red flashing. The 2nd button operates the main light. The choices are bright, dim (which is still brighter than the side light), and flashing. The front of the barrel can be pulled forward to concentrate the light into an even brighter beam. Toward the end of the pull the beam changes from circular to kinda squarish. This squarish beam also has a crosshair in it. The charging is weird. There are 2 ports next to each other, one USB-a and the other USB-c. Now since this kit came with 2 USB-c to USB-a cables, one would assume the USB-c would be the charging port. Although I'm not 100% positive (the instructions make no mention of which port does what), I think the USB-a is the charging port while the USB-c port is used to charge something else. The rubber cap seems to say that, but it's not expressly mentioned. When I plug a USB-c into the port, the light illuminating the on switch is always a blinking red light (generally a bad sign), while plugging in the USB-a gives you a solid green light. I dont think it charges while the light is on. When using the flashlight, only one of the lights can be on at a time. There is a fair amount of heat coming out of the LED light. When you use the flashlight the on button is light up red for whichever light you're using. It came with a belt holder as well as a wrist strap that is cinchable. It also came with a 2nd small square worklight, which does charge with the USB-c cable. This 2nd light is fairly bright and has a bright, dim, and flashing setting also. The rear of the worklight has a magnet. There is also a clip, and a stand folded up next to the magnet. There is also a built-in bottle opener. The larger flashlight also comes with a belt mountable Cordura case. The whole package comes in a hard plastic case that has a egg carton foam liner. This case has its own strap and has 4 clip locks on the 3 non hinged side. The hinges are just bending plastic, not a metal rod so the case will eventually break if opened too frequently. I like it.
