It does keep my coffee hot but every time I wash it I get water in it somewhere so water leaks out of it while I'm drinking it in the morning. I've tried letting it dry for 24 hours somewhere Water gets trapped in it and leaks out while you're drinking. It's very annoying. The finish on the black is not very good. I have not dropped it but the black finish is chipping off and I only hand wash.

I was looking for a vacuum sealed tumbler that was at least 16oz. I gave this tumbler 3 stars because it does not keep liquids hot very long. I have another vacuum sealed tumbler that keeps liquid hot for 8 hrs but I needed a larger size. I liked this one because it came with a strap to carry it and it does not leak.

I have been looking for this kind of sealed travel cup for a long time! I work in conservation in remote locations. I therefore needed a 100% stainless steel travel cup with a "stay-on" screw-on lid that doesn't spill its precious contents out in the boonies when I drive on bumpy dirt roads, but that I can safely drink from by pushing a single button with one hand. It keep the contents hot for almost an entire day out in the field, much better than a big thermos (therefore I fill more than one cup before I go)! The carrying cord I can put around my wrist is a strike of genius and an added bonus whenever I haul an armful of measuring tools from the car to a site.It's not perfect of course - if you don't screw the lid on right, the cup will still leak. It's also not replacing a kitchen mug at home and therefore can't be used with with loose leaf tea and such, or thick liquids like cream soups, because that would potentially get stuck in the lid mechanism you drink from. Cleaning the lid requires a 10 sec action of undoing the lid's bottom plate (which is good that it comes apart - regular travel cup lids can get gummed up with oily caffeine very quickly and then are impossible to clean).My original cup had a part missing, which the seller immediately fixed by sending me a new cup. These cups in their bright colors of the non-slip rubber grip and filled with steaming hot black coffee make me happy - I will get the other colors, depending on how I feel that day.

I got this for my 14 yr old since she broke her last one. This cup is very durable and the wrist loop is very helpful. She no longer has leaks in her back pack.

I never write reviews.... with disappointment, I have tried many thermal travel mugs.So many do not keep ice frozen in mugs, or hot drinks 'hot' for very long. I purchased this mug and found my ice in the drink to still be ice 24 hours later. For perspective, my mugs have been indoors with no A/C at 82-85 degrees. I purchased another so called thermal hot/chill mug at the same time that I purchased this brand, but sadly it could not keep a boiling/steaming hot tea 'hot' for any period of time. In fact, thst mug was no improvement over my regular cabinet coffee cup. And when I tried it with an iced drink, the ice melted within 2 hours. Needless to say, that mug was immediately returned.These travel mugs truly are 'thermal' mugs.They are leak proof as long as you get the lid on properly, & double check that, or you will be wearing your drink.I am so happy with this mug, that I purchased 2. And I may be back to purchase more! Really nice thermal mug that does what it is meant to do, which is to keep your drinks very cold or very hot. Good product!

I love that my coffee stays so hot for so many hours. What I don’t understand is the strap which I’m ready to throw out. The strap gets soaked every time I wash the mug and then it drips. Another thing is that I was so used to my contigo mug which locked automatically when I released the button after every sip. This mug you have to remember to press the close button on the top, otherwise your coffee will get cold faster. But what’s worse is having a sofa drink your coffee for you! Yes, stupid me, I forgot to press the button and I set the mug by my side as I sat on the sofa. I was so used to leakproof! But I moved slightly and the mug fell over and that was that. Not one drop of coffee left for me to drink. Now I have to wash all my sofa cushion covers because they are soaked and smell horrible. The batting inside are all stained. Please redesign this mug. I would really love it 100%. Handle instead of strap and auto lock button.Ok so this is an update- now I’m not very happy. The bottom part of my thermos fell off as I was sipping my coffee at work!!! I don’t think I will recommend these.

i have owned various travel mugs but this is my favorite. 1st because it is red and 2nd because of the string it has, which means it is easy to keep connected to me in trains and i don't lose it easily like i did my other travel mugs
