works increadably well... 10 degree F temperature difference at headrest!
So glad I found out about these (and similar) shades. The driving in TX heat is one of the biggest things I didn't like about my 2020 Model Y. So much heat comes through the glass. This seems to nip that in the butt! With the shield it felt so much better, I needed to measure it. A/C was running at set to 70F throughout all tests. I have the black interior. Each test started with at least 10 minutes in the garage. I then measured +0/+10 minute temperatures using an IR thermometer on the driver's door windows sill and the top of the driver's headrest in full sun. With Shade: Window sill 88 -> 106 Headrest 88 -> 87!!!!!No Shade: Window sill 92 -> 115 Headrest 92->102With Shade: Window sill 90 -> 115 Headrest 90 -> 90 !!!!!!No question this thing works.. wish I found it earlier. I plan on leaving the shades up until fall.Downsides: No instructions. I figured out how to put the clips on, and also where to put them. The clips didn't fit everywhere between the glass and molding, but I found enough locations to add all the clips. (2 front/rear, 1 each side, 1 between shades). The two shades have slightly different shapes and it's not clear which one is front, which is rear. I put the smaller shield to the rear, and the identical sides touching in the middle.Previous reviews talked about sag. I'm not seeing any sag, but the fabric is flat with the molding. There is a 2-3" gap between the fabric and glass. The model Y has enough headroom, it's not a problem. This review has not been compensated in any way. I paid about $40 including a coupon button available to everyone.

Keeps it cool 😎
I’m so happy with this mesh cover. I didn’t use silver the sunshade portion. Even so, I feel that it did a great job of adequately blocking the sun. It was a bit of a challenge to install in the beginning. As others stated, no instructions whatsoever. Once I figured it out it was fine. It was much more bearable in the southern California sun. I’m definitely leaving this on till fall, when the sun isn’t scorching so hot! 🥵

4-piece sunshade option is great. Lightweight and easy to install
Very easy to install and light weight too. I like the option to use screen by itself or use with the sunshade. Also really like the option to use the screen in the front or back only or both. No sag in the middle unlike the large one-piece screens that others have commented about. These help reduce the heat in the cabin somewhat but not as much as I’d hope but I think it’s not because the shades aren’t doing it’s job but rather it’s because my MYP has so many windows and a large window roof that it will heat up inside unless all windows are covered. I live in SF and interior got to 115* when it was only 70* outside. With the sunshade, interior got to 108*. I probably need to get add’l shades to get that number lower.

Tabs get lost easily, open windows while driving can pull shades out

Better than the one piece sunroof shade and leave almost no gap.
Much better than the one piece sunroof shade. The frame is strong. The two pieces can snuggle in model y 2022 and leave almost no gap. I also like that they have extra sliver fabric shade so you can add on in summer and remove in winter. There is no installation guide, you need to carefully adjust those clips.

Pleasantly surprised
Like others noted there are no directions. I actually thought for 30 seconds I was sent the wrong size but tried moving the piece that I put into the front, into the back and yes it fits. I agree additional plastic pieces to help it stay up would be appreciated, however it is fine so long as I don’t loose what I do have or they don’t break apart. Noticeably different temperature inside when I leave the car uncovered as well as when driving in the blazing sun. Definitely recommend
