Changed how I sleep, in a good way
So I went to my dentist and he suggested from looking at my teeth that I needed a mouth guard because it was obvious I ground my teeth at night. I already knew I ground my teeth because my ex wife told me so on a number of occasion (though that wasn't the reason she's an ex-wife, I promise). The dentist then proceeded to tell me how he could fit me with a guard and it would only cost about $500. I told him I would think about it. And I did think about it as I did some internet searches for do-it-yourself mouth guards and found this kit. There was a nice video produced that the company posted on a popular video sharing site that showed how to shape and form this product to your mouth...so I plunked down my credit card and had Amazon ship me these since they were far less expensive than $500. The video warned that it can take a bit of practice to get the mouthguard perfect...and I did mess up the first one, making it a bit off-center on my teeth. The second one was perfect and I've been using it for the last year. Now, I know some people find these invasive and it causes sleep issues, but I found that I was, for the first time in a VERY long time, sleeping through the night. Apparently, my teeth grinding would wake me up throughout the night and with this guard in place, I stopped waking myself. My sleep was TONS better and I felt better in the morning. I began to remember dreams, something I'd stopped doing years ago (since I kept waking myself up too early). So, these inexpensive little items changed the quality of my life...so it is certainly worth a try if you are looking for something to help with grinding one's teeth in your sleep. No guarantees your experience will be as amazing as mine, but at this price, there's no reason to not give it a go. Follow the directions closely and you'll get yourself a good mold to work with. I clean it daily with warm water and my toothbrush. My first successful guard has lasted a year now...

follow the instructions faithfully or the guard won't work!
fits my mouth tightly and stays in. I lost my dentist made mouth guard which was superb.This boil and bite wkorks well but it does take several attempts. Fortunately if you screw up you csn reboil it and try again. Obviously it won't last years because it soft. But it costs one tenth of what my dentist made mouth guard. You can make a lot of the "pro dental guard" and the "pro" isn more comfortable than my dentist made guards were. If I had the money I'd still prefer a dentist made guard but I don't. I plan on buying more of thevpro guard so I'll have 4 or 5 ones that will last me years. Expect 3vor 4 failures b4 you get one good guard. I learned to boil a shorter time and push hard inside and out as I have very tiny teeth due to years of grinding with no guards. The pro guard is the 1st boil and bite brand I've tried that actually stays in all night.

Buy several, read the instructions
I bought several of these types of mouth guards from different "companies" but it was pretty clear right away that they're all the same product from the same manufacturer just rebranded. Interestingly, they all came with slightly different instructions involving how much time to boil/etc. There was no one right method, and it took me about 4 tries to get the first "good" one. I tossed the other 3 in the garbage. They say you can just repeat the process, but that's not really true. Once any edges touch each other they're stuck for life, so the only way you could redo it is if you did it mostly right the first time, and just needed to tighten it up a bit. I tried that with a couple, but never really got it any tighter either though, to be honest. Anyway, I would suggest buying several, because, at least for me, it was more trial an error than any sort of perfect instructions. FWIW, even the Thin ones were pretty big for me, and I had to cut them down.

Highly, Highly Recommend!!! A++
I've used upper grit guards for many years now until I didn't have enough upper teeth left to hold them in. I'm the worst sleep gritter Ever and have ground my teeth to cracked nubs. I can't believe that it hadn't occured to me that they can be used on the bottom as well.So I shopped and decided on these because of the small mouth size, price and how it did indicate for bottom teeth use as well. At first I took one out and thought, small? This is not going to fit. But I did the same thing with this one as I've done before and started by cutting the ends off to cover just the teeth needed which shortened it a lot. Then followed instructions for boiling water, fitting, etc. Looked like it had lost too much of its shape while hot to be saved but it actually worked out perfectly. Fits beautifully, is totally comfortable and helping to save what is left of my cracked, messed up teeth. Now I wake up pain free! And there are 3 left for when I eventually bite through this one. Plus the price was great! A million thanks!

Easy to fit and comfortable to use
I was skeptical when my dentist told me I was a 'bruxer' (one who grinds teeth). When he told me about wearing a mouthguard I was sure I would hate it. I sometimes gag when getting my teeth xrayed and was sure a mouthguard would be uncomfortable. I was WRONG!The Dental Duty mouth guard was easy to mold, and fits great. Even after the first night I could feel that my mouth was less sore, my jaws weren't so clickity. I've used it for a week and I like it. With the guard in my mouth I can feel that I am, indeed, unconsciously clenching my jaws. I always brush before putting it in and again in the morning when I remove it. I keep a little mouth wash in the convenient storage case so it tastes fresh each night (be sure to rinse off the mouthwash or it might irritate). I would definitely recommend this product.Do NOT use tongs to remove it from the hot water. I tried that the first time and spoiled the guard - I squeezed the sides together and they stuck together. 2nd try was the charm and I've contacted the company for a free replacement for the one I wrecked...
