Great Kit - But What's the Wheel for??
I've been watching a lot of power carving videos by Jordy Johnson, Matt Carves, and others with absolute envy for the quality of their carvings compared to what I was able to do with the "economy" burrs in my price range. When I finally got a chance to purchase this set for myself, I jumped at the opportunity.Delivery was fast and I practically ripped the package open to start carving like the pros! But then instead I spent the next 15 minutes cleaning adhesive from the mandrels, lol! (I assume Kutzall does this to prevent them being damaged in shipment - but please put it in the package instructions to clean before use)The burrs worked exactly as expected after preparation, turning a carving I'd been working on for 3 weeks into a 1 hour project. The ONLY issue I have is determining what the rotary wheel is for??? I searched high & low to find a video of one in use, but every link that said wheel was for Kutzall's shaping discs.

The bits work well. I use them with a Dremel, to generate wood carvings out of hardwood. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Outstanding product
These things really eat up some wood. I just used them on basswood for some spoon carving. I'm glad I did some samples before I used it on my current work or I would have had a mess. They don't get clogged up that fast but when they do a little compressed air got rid of most of the clog and a small brass brush took care of the rest. The instructions also say you could burn it out. I would imagine that would probably work as well. I just haven't tried it yet.

These bits work very well.
I have used them to do carvings out of hardwood such as maple. They work very well and are very smooth under varying degrees of pressure. The medium texture can leave a nice grain on the surface.

Really good cutters and easy to clean
I got these after getting into power carving recently and wanted to get something that I kept seeing on tutorial vids. These are definitely worth the money and cut amazingly. Work perfectly with my Dremel and each of the bits are strong as hell. I’ve recently purchased some wire brushes to be able to keep them clean which is a must. If you’re into power carving then these are a must.
