Vandoren CM370 Contrabass Clarinet Mouthpiece

Extremely overpriced for what you're getting.Even with an expensive Vandoren Optimum ligature and expensive Vandoren reeds (on, of course, a very expensive contrabass clarinet), it can still bop and squeak all over the place. It takes extreme control and quite a bit of work on on the the reeds for it to work.And it's hard to find a [Vandoren] bass clarinet mouthpiece that matches well with it (so that you can jump back and forth between both, with minimal compatibility issues).What's more, this Vandoren mouthpiece doesn't even line up fully with the Vandoren reeds - which probably explains much of the squeaking.All in all, it's way too expensive for what you're getting. I'd say look for something like a Walter Grabner or a Clark W Fobes mouthpiece. That's what the professional use: they are better, yet cheaper. I'll be looking at that, too, once I recover from my financial losses.
