Some torque drivers will be damaged if used for unfastening bolts. Is this tool ok for that??
Does anyone know the accuracy of this? It's odd that Park doesn't listed it on its website...makes me think it's up near +/- 6% or something.
What is the difference between the atd 1 and the atd 1.2?
The current version has a black tool holder cap and this shows blue cap. What will I actually get?

Pricey little tool I wish I would've bought ages ago.

What can I say? It's a tool I use almost every time I work on my family's bikes, which is often.I wish it had a longer reach, but you can remedy this by using longer hex bits when you need to. Aside from the gripe, they tool feels solid, the click is loud and the concealed hexbit holder is a nice touch.Any teeny issue, but not a gripe. I have found that you need to make sure you back of the torque on the tool itself as you tighten a bolt, just so you give the internal strain gauge a second to "reset" in order click at your set torque. It will still click if you don't ease off while continously tightening a bolt, but I've found that when I did this my bolt was usually over torqued. This is just a minor inconvenience that sounds worse than it truly is once you get to know this little idiosnycrasy.Pricey? Yep! Worth it? Yep! I probably be using this tool till I'm old and dead.

So, so good.

You’re probably in the same boat as me; I’m not a professional bike mechanic, I’m just some dude with way too many n + 1s that does almost all of my own bike maintenance and building.I get it, this is expensive, and you’re wondering if it’s worth it.Yes. 1000 times, yes.I have other torque tools. I’ve got four or five different SnapOn torque wrenches, and a variety of bit holding ones, and yet this Park Tool one is what a reach for probably 75% of the time.Yeah, it only goes from 4 to 6nm (in half pound increments!), but for working on a bicycle, that covers probably 75% of your bolts?I’m building up a bikepacking race rig right now. Just from memory, I’ve used this torque wrench for:Brake Caliper AdaptersBrake CalipersBrake RotorsBrake Banjo BoltsThru AxlesRacksSeat Post ClampSaddle Mounting BoltsStemTop CapBriftersGarmin MountLight MountFrame BagTop Tube BagCargo CagesBottle CageI’m not saying that you can do everything with this little wrench, but you can do a crazy amount with only it, and it’s sized to just slip into an apron pocket pretty much permanently.I also use it to do most of the maintenance on my CNC machines as well.Seriously. It’s dope. And worth the cash.

Easy to use, accurate, a wonderful tool for Bicycle Owners

The torque wrench works great, you can definately feel when the bolt reaches its torque value. However a little big to be able to use on every fastener. Missing Allen bits, not a big deal bought a set from Amazon

Solid, Functional

I recently picked up the Park Tool ATD-1.2 Adjustable Torque Driver and, folks, this tool is a game changer for anyone who treats their bike like a royal carriage. It’s like having a personal bike butler who always tightens bolts to just the right snugness—never too loose, never too tight, always just right. With adjustable settings between 4 to 6 Newton meters, this tool is like the Goldilocks of the bike maintenance world. The ATD-1.2 is elegantly simple, brilliantly precise, and built like a small tank with a friendly demeanor. No more guessing games with your bolts, which means no more apologies to your bike at the end of a ride. Whether you're a casual cyclist or a pro mechanic, this torque driver will elevate your bike maintenance game to the level of a smooth and safe ride every time. Hats off to Park Tool for keeping things tight without the fright!

Park tools Torque wrench

Very easy and simple to use. It has a narrow range of torque settings, and for the price I could’ve purchased an actual wrench which I already owned. But the convenience of this tool seems to be worth it. But it will not replace a small torque wrench, which is necessary for bike maintenance

Works great, one caveat

Nice tool, but it can take a bit of force to adjust the torque setting. At first, I thought mine was jammed or broken, nope, just gotta turn harder. Some grip tabs other than knurling on the adjuster would help.

Use so frequently

Definitely didn't think I'd use this so much but it's just so convenient. Has several bit options that are stored on the tool itself. Just a really well thought out product.

Well built and accurate

With today's proliferation of carbon bike parts that cannot be over-torqued, the Park Tool ATD 1.2 is a godsend. As soon as I got mine, I tested it against two high-end digital torque wrenches and it was perfectly calibrated. After using it for two years, I tested it again and found it was still exactly on the money (make sure you reset it down to the lowest torque setting of 4 N m when not in use). Fits the hand, tough, and very accurate. Makes working with high-end carbon components SO much easier, .... five stars.
