Not very good
It wasn’t like the regular game operation. Did not keep my five year old interested. He got bored with it after five minutes.

For ages 4 to 7, older kids will find it boring.
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Frankie Fun Surgery Pop Up Game for my 8-year-old granddaughter to play as she loves the game Operation. This is a very small game and cheaply constructed. The cards and pieces store in the little drawer on the right side of the game. The tweezers are very cheap plastic and will not fit in the drawer with the cards and pieces. To start the game you make sure the game switch is off, then push the slider all the way to the left and it will stay there until you turn the switch underneath the slider on, then push down on the front of the game so the board locks in place as it needs to be down in order to pop up at the end. Before starting, each player gets a card face down. When learning I let them see the card before starting the game but as they got better left the cards face down until I started the game board. You leave the pieces either on the table spread out or in the drawer. The tweezers are used to pick up your piece and place it on the board in the correct spot as displayed on your card. The cards have 3 levels of difficulty. But the name of the game is to get all the pieces shown on your card in the correct spots on the board before the slider reaches the end and the board pops up and so there goes your pieces. If you get all the pieces in before the board pops you can turn the switch off to stop the game board from popping up. You can get a card with a few pieces or a card that requires you to fill every place on the board. The pieces are yellow plastic. It would be more fun if the pieces were colors that represented body parts or the other items used. My granddaughter has gotten pretty good at getting all the pieces into the spots on the board before it pops. So far she hasn't gotten bored with this game and I play along with her and have only been able to complete one card. In the end, the one who had the most winning cards is the winner. There are a couple of other ways to play this game. The pieces are small and it takes manual dexterity to pick up the slippery plastic pieces, hold on to them and get them in their slots. I would say this game is for ages 8 and up. Even I as an adult find keeping the pieces from slipping difficult because both the tweezers and the pieces are slippery plastic. This game needs a total makeover.

Scares my kid
My son loves to put together model human bodies, so we thought he would love this game. He does like it, but he is so scared by the popping part that he doesn't want to play with it much. I know it is just a matter of getting used to it. He will eventually not be so bothered by it.

Nice family game
The game is compact with a side drawer for tweezers and small parts. It does not need any batteries, has a timer and a pop up middle. The pop up is very loud and sudden. My youngest does not like it, so we have to turn it off for her completely. The tweezers are small and really hard to hold anything with. I nearly lost one part the first time I tried to lift it. I guess we will have to practice more. The challenge cards vary by level of difficulty. My 12 year old and I just used our fingers, and it was fun.

Fun
My daughter loves to play this game. The timer does seem a little fast, but it is fun. It is backwards of Operation.
