Quality Product
Bought this for connecting the charger to my car, Ctek products are quality, they never have an issue.

A little pricey but well made and does the job.
Bought this to go with Ctek charger/optimiser unit, simple to connect up and works fine charging and monitoring the battery via the cigarette lighter. Just make sure you do your homework when buying this type of connector- as far as I'm aware the car's cigarette lighter MUST be the type that remains on/active even when the ignition is off. If yours turns off power when the ignition is off I believe it won't work on the vehicle. Check carefully first.OVERALL- a little pricey but well made, and works perfectly, recommended.

Great idea
Just a tip - before you decide to buy this item plug your phone, ipod whatever, into your car cigarette lighter without your keys in the ignition. If the device you plugged in starts to charge then this lead should work with the appropriate ctek charger to charge your car battery.Having had to remove my battery recently to charge it then having to reset the stereo etc was a pain in the rear so i looked around for a solution that would allow me to avoid that scenario in the future. I bought this with the MSX5 and its turned out to a great solution. I can now just plug the lead into the lighter socket plug in the charger and feed the extension lead through the car window to the mains plug, lock it up (on the drive) and leave it all to charge without even opening the bonnet. Also bought this so that i can easily check the battery condition from inside the carhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007CT6510/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1A great solution for me to monitor and maintain the battery as the car is only used once or twice a week.

Because of very low mileage I find my car battery very low in starting push, sometimes it will not start. I tried a cheap mains charger (perhaps 1 amp) and found that it was taking a few days to make any impression on the 60 amp-hour battery. So I purchased this CTEK which took about 20 hours to make my battery much better than it has been for a number of years -- probably 3 amps for the 20 hours. Even better was the fact that the gadget tells you what is going on and when the charge is complete. I also purchased the extra lead to allow charging through the cigar lighter socket. Very convenient and it worked. Some cars isolate this socket when the ignition is off -- so check your car manual. I am delighted to be able to ensure my car will start next winter. Excellent! Don't even consider a solar power charger, you need real amps.

Excellent, simple device that enables you to connect the ...
Excellent, simple device that enables you to connect the CTEK charger (7A maximum - this is not suitable for CTEK models with a greater current) direct to the car's cigarette lighter socket. Most cars will have one at the front, and quite likely others in the rear and in the boot. No need to lift the bonnet at all, and no messing around with crocodile clips. This will NOT work however if the sockets are not live when the ignition is switched off. Easy to check this - try charging something like a phone with the ignition off, and if you have to switch the ignition on to get it to charge, this device won't work. One tip - consider buying the extension cable that CTEK produce. The lead that comes with the cigarette lighter socket cable is very short indeed, and the extension cable makes it easier still to use.
