Very impressive!
Superb! Arrived with the usual Amazon breathtakingly fast delivery, and I started scanning the day after I ordered it. I was very impressed with the build quality and the ease of use. Mind you, I can't stress enough how important it is to keep the media spotlessly clean before you scan - a tiny speck of dust on a slide enlarges up to massive proportions when scanned! I wish I'd bought the cleaning kit at the same time. But nevertheless this is a faultless bit of kit, that works on Macs as well as PCs. Recommended.

Speed things up, buy a cheap craft knife and trim the plastic catch off the slide/film flap.
I found the instruction booklet was initially not very good. I found out by trial and error how to use it and by referring to the handbook which became a little clearer. It would have been better in logical sequence such as insert memory card, click on capture, go to format, click format, go to film, select on slide in my case etc. So easy to do really.select resolution and start saving pics. The plastic unit for the slide is too hard to undo, and I can understand people saying it broke or is flimsy. However I opened the flap and trimmed the plastic catch off. Each slide now can be loaded easily and quickly. It also allows me to push the thicker plastic slides through as well. Some slides cannot be converted into reasonable pics but most can.Initially just do a couple of pics and then take the memory card out of the converter and pop it in a PC.Go to storage and the card will show up. I opened each pic and did a bit more and saved each one . I found lightening then sharpening the lmage was best then adjusting colour. One caution, the format mode cancels any pics on the memory card so this needs to be done if you want to delete them. Do not do what I did and transfer a lot of pics then click format before putting them onto computer as you just lose them and have to redo them.Minor faults by bringing back 50+ years of memories back. If you are doing a large number of pics then we'll worth the money. One other tip. Once you set up the converter it will stay on the same options so just keep popping slides in, press the convert mode button and press ok/enter to save. Pull slide unit out and repeat.Once the card is pulled out after switching off it tends to reset so when you use it again just run through the setup you require. I found initially I had it on negatives which give a yellow pic if using slides. Go to film and change option to slide then the size or 35mm. End results are good, recommended.

Not impressed with this scanner
I must be the only one not impressed with this scanner, which was a bit of a mixed bag! I purchased it as I have about a thousand Kodachrome, Ectachrome, Fuji and similar colour positive slides which I wished to put on a DVD some of these date back to 1963 or earlier. The scanner worked fine on colour negatives for which I would have given it five stars but on the colour positives, well, rather a disaster! I tried various settings but with no success. As a comparison I used a slide from my Flatbed scanner which takes around 3 minutes to scan a 2400DPI slide, (which is why I purcheased the QPIX for the added speed). Finally I took nineteen scans of the same slide (shown) with various settings i.e. zero and plus and minus one on EV, ditto on the RGB but nowhere could I approach the clarity and colour balance of my Flatbed scanner. Even 'Photoshop' was unable to produce good skin tones. Result - somewhat disappointed and now wish that I had invested my money in a better flat bed scanner. My refund arrived promptly which is why I am now awarding three stars to the product.

Tested on two slides and got very poor reproduction of reds clearly visible in the slides
Fiddly to operate, slide holder was difficult to open so I was worried I might break it. The menu on the screen makes it difficult to see the slide whilstmaking exposure adjustments. Tested on two slides and got very poor reproduction of reds clearly visible in the slides. When red was increased it just gave a red cast to the whole picture. Menu not as straightforward as it should be. I have returned it for a refund and the only reason I have given it two stars is that it came exactly as promised with everything well packaged and complete.I am now looking at flat bed scanners for better quality though I wanted to avoid the footprint on the desk, but I have been put of these portable scanners as a result.

Better devices on the website
It came without an instruction book. It would not work. Tried scanning in a slide and couldn't get it to scan. Tried rotating the slide using the control and nothing happened. Each slide has to be mounted individually. Time consuming and fiddly. Other devices offer the option of feeding in four slides at a time. No local Amazon locker point nearby so will have to wait in all day tomorrow for it to be collected. I had paid extra for delivery before 1 p.m. as I wanted to scan some slides today. Extremely annoyed.

Fast, simple and great value
Brilliant. I’ve thousands of negatives that I have been searching for a way to digitise. This piece of kit let’s you capture a film, upload it to a computer, re-date and store in the cloud in about 10-15 minutes. The quality is good, and the colour balancing useful. I’m sure there are scanners that can create slightly better quality digital images, so don’t buy this if your number one priority is absolute quality. If however you are after a practical solution to digitising images quickly then this is great for the price.

Simple rapid conversion
Arrived quickly, simple instructions and in use within minutes. Yes it does require a bit of practise to achieve the correct brightness for each slide or negative but the results were excellent. Great fun to see pictures long forgotten. A good buy for the money.

overall very good
reasonably simple to use. Single frames take time to scan I scan 150 a day. first 200 slides not saved for some reason so having to re scan. old 1960s slides were poor quantity, faded perhaps.adjustment would not improve the quality. Instructions very very basic.. took a couple of days to locate download on computer as saved in 2017 file !! many old memories discovered and emotional knowing twin trade towers in Manhattan now gone..Great now saved and I can adjust, enlarge many old photos and send to old friends as JPEGs' would add I used my fingers or a knife to remove slides from the carriage ,simple but effective.
