I had the first LowePro ProTactic 450 AW and couldn't think of another bag that would be a better upgrade than the newer version of the same bag. I carry the bag around almost daily with all of my gear weighing in close to 30 lbs. After months of use, there is no visible signs of wear or issues.Gear: I'm able to fit nearly all of my daily camera gear in this bag, which makes it perfect for daily work. The ability to configure the dividers in the bag is excellent. To me, this is better than the Peak Design or the Nomadic bags because you don't have to buy additional bags to put in your main bag to organize things. Instead, everything is so accessible in this one bag. You can configure the two side openings to have access to two different items without taking the bag off your back. This is super useful all the time, whether I'm skiing, hiking, or working where I don't want to set my bag in the dirt. I have my Sony a7 with 24-70GM accessible on one side and my DJI Mavic 3 on the other.My full gear list that I'm able to fit in this one bag all at once includes:- Sony a7 with 24-70mm GM attached- A second lens (usually my Sony 16-35mm)- A zoom lens (70-200)- DJI Mavic 3- DJI Pro Controller- DJI Mavic 3 battery, the three battery charger and the charging block- DJI Mic 2 set with case- Insta 360- Monopod/selfie stick for Insta 360- 2 VND filers in their protective cases- Anker 20,000 mAh battery pack- 16" laptop and large laptop charging brick- Misc. cables and a few additional charging blocks- And my snacks, business cards, and pens in the small upper side pockets.All of this in one bag and it is barely small enough to be a "personal item" under the seat on a flight! If you need additional space, you can also add extra items on the outside mesh of the bag. The configurations are excellent and the waist strap even can be removed and used to attach smaller bags if you're running around during a shoot.

This backpack is a beast. If you just have one camera and a couple of prime lenses, this is going to be overkill for you. Look for something smaller.It is a very large, spacious pack with thick sidewall foam lining and heavy duty durable zippers. The back has air channels to keep things cool on long hikes, and the detachable waist strap helps with stability for long days of work. The backpack opens mainly from the back, which is a nice security feature. The main cavity has a ton of different dividers of differing thicknesses and lengths so that you can customize your load out. Each side has an opening for quick retrieval of a camera. The back also has a very well padded laptop sleeve that can easily store a 15” laptop. The pack also comes with a set of accessories to further customization. This includes two adjustable straps, a water bottle pouch, a zippered pouch, and a sleeve for the base of a tripod to tuck into. I am currently using that and one of the adjustable straps to secure my tripod to the outside of my pack.I love this backpack and all of its features so far. It is so convenient for my profession, where everything is quick and spur of the moment so I need to have my equipment easily accessible at a moment’s notice. It is a bit hefty, but incredibly comfortable. I don’t even notice the weight anymore because of the comfort.There are a couple things I think it is worthy to mention for potential buyers: I wish it had a little more padding in the bottom. I took the extra dividers I didn’t need and layered them on the bottom because I felt like that’s the one wall that didn’t have quite the protection I hoped it would. Also, this pack is super padded other than what I just mentioned, so it does have a bit of weight to it. I’m guessing it’s around 3-4 lbs., so it may not be the best for really long treks. Finally, I’ll reiterate that it’s a huge bag. I have one walk around lens, two primes, one body and a telephoto, plus video accessories like mics and handles and a monitor, and I STILL have a bunch of space left over. It is almost too big for me. I’m okay with this because I plan on using the top half as another suitcase for my upcoming vacation, but if not it would beg the question if I needed something smaller. Just keep that in mind.For professionals, especially photographers working with multiple lenses and more than one body, this would be perfect for you. For others, as long as you have plans for the extra real estate left over, you will find this backpack equally as enjoyable.

I've been recording AAU basketball games and this is perfect for fitting my FX30, larger lens and the various other items I lug around with me (Osmo pocket 3, battery packs, field monitor, etc). I love the look and the comfort. At first I was a little surprised by the size, but I've come to realize that I really appreciate the taller size, especially as someone over 6 feet tall.I thought I would use the side zippers more for easy camera access, but I found the top compartment to be easier for my needs. I usually have a handle attached and I'm not needing super fast access. The top compartment allows for the camera and long lens to sit securely. I store my camera batteries in the smaller top zipper compartment. This allows for quick access during a shoot.To access the main body of the bag, the bag opens from the backside (the part that lays on your back). This was a little odd at first, but it also makes sense. Perhaps this is a common pattern for camera bags. The velcro for the internal shelves are really strong. I didn't reconfigure much and am thankful that the bag came pre-configured. I do wish the zippers were a little bit smoother. Perhaps they will get better with time, but overall this is a super minor gripe. I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this camera for those carrying lots of camera or drone items.
