It looks good thanks to the nice metal design of the clip and the absence of ugly branding. I wish that the leather bit that sits inside the book wasn't so thick. I also wish that the clip bit at the end didn't curve up so it would be flat and stack easily with other books, but that's a small gripe. Overall, I really like it.

Works perfectly with my hardback notebook. I am able to keep a pen handy at all times.

The leather loops on mine aren't heavy-duty. They disintegrated after a year. Going to try the polyurethane ones or something else next.

These are great and identical to ones you can find on eBay that cost a lot more. That said, there's one thing I would definitely change about them: I would probably reverse the side with the leather pen flap. Why? The money clip piece of metal is flat on one side and curved on the other. This means that if you want your book to lie flush and flat when it's closed, you have to put the flat side on the inside and the curved side on the cover. However, the flap is on the flat side, so if you use it as intended, it would end up sticking open if you did that because you'd have a pen in the flap. So, the only way to use them now is to have them in what appears to be the wrong direction. They're still definitely helpful and usable, it's just a slight annoyance. One way to improve upon this design would be to make it so you could detach and reattach the leather flap. I suppose you could use snap buttons instead of grommets through the leather. I'm not really sure without sitting down and really thinking about it, but I don't think this brand is alone in this "flaw".Again, these are super helpful and I would buy them again.

The revits broke as soon as I put my pen in.
