Way to round out the series!!!
This was FINALLY Spiders book!! I’ve been rooting for him for a couple of books now and I think he ended up with a pretty good story! He decided he was done with love after the whole Riley debacle and wanted to help where he could in the mob as he’d really messed up trying to fix the kidnapping situation so decided to take up the marker to marry an Italian girl that Declan was supposed to marry as a merger of the Irish & Italians. It also served as his way to ensure he married for business vs. love. He didn’t want to run the risk of ever falling in love again so felt this was win win!Boy did THAT idea back fire on him. We meet the deadly beautiful aunt Reyna who will do anything to protect her niece & that includes making a sacrifice herself when her family is threatened. The story takes OFF at this point and is full of passion and steam. Boy oh BOY were there some fre@king 🔥🌶🔥🌶💦🥵 scenes. Like woa!! Spider & Reyna burned up the pages like nobody’s business. They were so evenly matched in so many ways and their banter and push and pull kept the attraction and magic building and folding and shouldering on itself on a fiery burn that kept me fanning myself throughout! They were different yet the same and it worked for them as they found and accepted these things about each other.Definitely triggers in this book so beware but also perseverance in spades in the end!! To see Reyna come out on top in an unimaginable way was so rad! I actually cheered out loud over this. Lol loved it!If you listen to this book the main h, I THINK she was Tara Langella(as I know it’s not Brooke Daniels or Michelle Sparks whom I LOVE) sounds a little old and stiff at the beginning until you realize that is the character type she’s portraying which made it easier to listen to. Then the main H, Troy Duran, is one of my top 3 male narrators, hands down, I LOVE it when he reads. Not sure about Erin Quinn. May have been the niece Lili which was a soft teen sounding voice that did not grate but sounded like a normal teen would, bringing the character alive, perfect.Over all, another banger from J.T. Geissinger and I can’t wait to see if there will be a next one. She is a master of story telling and I’m an always fan. I can easily get lost in her characters world and that’s what makes this art series. Thanks for sharing your gift with us and giving us a little piece of escapism!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Its the way I just finished this book less than an hour ago and I’m so sad!!! I absolutely loved this book and I want more! This is the 4th and *sobs* FINAL book in the Queens & Monsters series and it follows Spider, second in command to the Irish mob and Reyna Caruso, sister of the head of one of the Italian mafia families.Reyna and Spider both have dark and difficult pasts. Reyna, 33, is a widowed mafia wife. She was married to a terrible and abusive man and after his death, she lived with her brother (Gianni), mother (who is hilarious), and her niece Lili. Spider, who we know from Savage Hearts (book #3), has lost all faith in finding a love match agrees to an arranged marriage that will benefit the Irish mob. He is to marry Lili (18), Reyna’s niece. Reyna is immediately against this marriage because she fears her niece will fall into the same terrible situation as she did, with an abusive and power hungry husband. When Spider first comes to the Caruso home, Rey is immediately repulsed by him. Spider feels the same way but he can’t quite understand why Rey gets under his skin so much. Right from the start, their flirtation and the chemistry between them is so fiery!!! Like they “hate” each other but we knowwww they don’t hate each other. The whole plan for Lili and Spider to marry becomes completely unraveled when a big secret is revealed on the wedding day. Rey, someone who promised she would never marry again, steps in to marry Spider to uphold the marriage agreement for her family.Ok so my thoughts— Rey and Spider are so f****** hot I mean— the banter!!!!!!! TOP TIER. You can just tell there’s this fire between them. They wanted each other from the start but knew they couldn’t. There’s nothing I love more than seeing 2 people trying to resist each other but fail terribly. The way they start to open up and break down their walls was beautiful. Especially when it’s 2 very strong willed and stubborn individuals. Rey and Spider have both been through so much and you’d expect them to be extremely closed off emotionally. Through a few high stakes situations, they slowly begin to trust each other more and find a home in one another. I feel like they are exactly what the other needed. Now let me tell you, Rey is a BOSS. Idk if I want to be her or marry her. She is an erotic romance loving bad ass individual. Literally all the Italian mafia men are scared of her, as they should be!!!! I love how she’s so real with Spider and never scared or intimidated by him. She challenges him and I think her fiery attitude is one of the things he loves most about her. And Homer “Spider” mf QUINN!!!!! This man! I was p mad at him bc of what went down in Savage Hearts but let me tell you, I got over that REAL QUICK. I need this man in my bedroom yesterday. He’s hot, funny, protective, caring, has the sexiest dirty talk *sweats*, and is able to make Reyna feel safe when she’s been wronged by men so many times in the past. He also has a nose ring, tattoos, and nipple piercings— I mean 😫 Anyways, I love them together bc they’re so stubborn and dominant but also passionate. Which makes for some amazing amazing spice. Miss Geissinger, you did not disappoint in the spice dept!!! It was honestly just so beautiful bc Spider was the exact man Reyna needed esp bc he let her be the bo$$ b**** that she is!All in all, I loved this book. It was perfect. I loved seeing all the characters from the rest of the series, especially the girly moments. I’m so sad to see this series come to an end but it was the PERFECT ending.

Starts off well but loses steam
I loved the first half of this story, but didn't particularly enjoy the second half, hence the 3 stars rating. Reasons why as follows:After the two main characters get married, the story runs out of steam. There are no major obstacles to overcome in their romance, so it lacked dramatic tension. While the MMC's depiction as rough with a marshmallow centre worked well in the early parts of the story, towards the end he came across as a slightly dim lapdog playing second fiddle to his woman - more a beta than an alpha. The female characters (there is a get together with heroines from previous books in this series) acted like WAGs, obsessing over expensive jewellery and designer clothing, which I found off-putting.And the MMC buying a 20 million dollar engagement ring was just a little too OTT for me.

What happens when a spider meets a viper
JT Geissinger is a new to me author and I absolutely loved Brutal Vows, the fourth in her Queens and Monsters series, so much so that I’ve just downloaded the first three books to binge. Homer ‘Spider’ Quinn, second in command in the Irish mob is about to enter an arranged marriage with Lili, the eighteen year old daughter of a Cosa Nostra Don, an arrangement that will be beneficial to both parties. Little did he realise he was about to meet his match in her overprotective aunt Reyna, a rumoured black widow who makes gangsters tremble in their shoes and avert their eyes when they see her coming so great is their fear of her. After her own nightmare marriage where she suffered years of abuse she’s determined Lili won’t endure the same fate. It’s a case of hate…. and lust at first sight in equal measure with Reyna spouting death threats minutes after meeting him, something he should worry about given her reputation. Quinn knows close proximity will only make it more difficult for him to keep his hands off her but somehow he just can’t keep away. The banter and interactions between these two were a pure joy to read and had me wiping away tears of laughter, definitely not something I expected to with a dark mafia romance but this author has such a way with words that I now want to read everything she has written. She made these characters come alive for me. If I had been Reyna I’d definitely have considered smothering Spider with a pillow as he slept to shut him up if nothing else. The chemistry between this pair was off the charts and one particular encounter will stick in mind for a long time - I can’t be the only reader wishing Glazed by the Gladiator wasn’t just a figment of this author’s imagination because I’d definitely buy a copy. This story is full of sexy and steamy fun but the pure beauty that stood out to me was, in spite of everything she’d been through, Reyna loved and trusted Quinn enough to let her guard down around him and Quinn, well there’s nothing he wouldn’t do and no one he wouldn’t kill to protect Reyna and make her happy. One thing I appreciated about this book was, yes Reyna had been through horrific abuse in her marriage leaving both mental and physical scars and it was mentioned several times throughout this book, it wasn’t gone into in graphic detail. I loved her strength of character and pure ‘take no prisoner’ attitude and wouldn’t have liked seeing her as a victim. I’d also give five stars for the cover of this book. That is Spider to a T.

A brilliant end to the series
So pleased Spider got his story. Loved the way Rey and Spider's relationship evolved. It's strange, how through the series I've fell in love with each man, even though they're all gangsters, killers, have evil sides to them , but they redeem themselves because they adore their ladies. I know, in real life it's ridiculous, in these books though it all makes sense .This was the funniest of the series and the banter between Rey and Spider was laugh out LOUD at times. The chemistry between the two, phew!!! Scorching. It all made for an angsty, funny thrilling end to a brilliant series. I recommend you start at the beginning, or you're missing out on some fab stories. Enjoy!

Spider and Rey 😍
I'll start off by saying that the whole Queens and Monsters series by J.T Geissinger is PHENOMENAL. Not only are the men sexy af, dangerous and completely devoted to their women, the female characters are strong, powerful and totally take control.Brutal Vows is the fourth and final book in the series. We've gotten to know Spider (Quinn) through the series and I was so happy he got his own story. He's brilliant, his sarcasm is delish, his demeanour dark and possessive and his heart huge.Rayna is one badass women. She's not had it easy but what didn't kill her only made her tougher. She's such an epic character. Both being headstrong makes their union explosive. And I loved every moment.

Swoon
Swoon. That’s it. Swoon, swoon, swoon.Spider and Reyna are definitely something else, and their story has been beautifully - and lovingly - told. The perfect combination of beauty, cunning, brawn, girl-power, alpha-males, and a healthy dose of dry wit: what’s not to love? Read it one day because I couldn’t pace myself.JT Geissinger does it again, and that’s why she’s on my automatic purchase list, no questions asked.
