The Men's Yuma Boot by Nevados was designed with the adventure seeker in mind. No matter how far you travel, the mountains are always calling you back. You need a multiseason hiking boot that can stand up to the elements—wind, water, mud, ice. With a mid cut height ankle for stability, rocky trails are never a problem. Enjoy the freedom that comes with less fatigue and greater range of motion. You simply can't get this with a full height boot. The Yuma is a great all-around hiker that will carry you through stream crossings, summer day hikes, and more. Up top, this design features a suede and a denier nylon upper—stylish, waterproof, rugged and reliable. Beneath the laces, a padded, gusseted tongue is sewn seam to seam to keep out water from shallow stream crossings and rainy day puddles. Take a peek inside and you'll find a moisture wicking liner to keep feet dry throughout your trek. We've also added a memory foam insole to cushion every step, and an aggressively lugged carbon rubber outsole to protect against (and grip) moist rocks, logs, dirt and mud. No matter what path you're on, Nevados has a boot for the journey. Shop the entire Nevados XP line here on .

Good ankle support and heel support. Detailed review :-)
I always have problems with finding secure ankle and heel support. It seems so hard to find a hiking boot that keeps my feet secure. These keep me from sliding around in my boots while walking flat, uphill, and downhill. Grip is great in wet and dry. Rocks wet and dry. Comfortable right out of the box.I am a woman, so looked up the conversion and they fit perfectly. The toe box is roomy but not so much that the toe end slides around. For the price these are great boots. For any price these are great boots for my purpose- I'm an occasional hiker, not super long hikes (under 10 miles) . Even if they don't last a really long time- I've searched so long to find something that fits and is waterproof, I'd be willing to buy again after this pair wears out.Wrote a long review hoping to help someone else out.Women's size 9.5 to 10 hiking boot, bought this in a man's 8 and fit perfectly.

Great Hiking boot!
Loved that I put them on and wore them for 8 days straight in Alaska and found them to be a very comfortable boot! No rubbing, blisters or sore feet! I never even wore them prior to going! Best boot for the buck! Very impressed!

Incorrect description, otherwise, good boot
This boot is NOT waterproof. The following is quoted from the description: "WATERPROOF & BREATHABLE with a rugged suede leather & nylon upper and moisture wicking inner liner to keep you comfortable and blister free. Padded, gusseted tongue provides three benefits: 1. cushions to the front of your foot 2. keeps your feet dry during heavy rain & stream crossings under 6 inches." Well, my husband wore these in for a short walk in our neighborhood, and it started raining. He got home with feet wet through in socks. Other than us finding this boot is not waterproof, if isn't even water resistant. He likes the fit, so we're going to try using Scotchgard on them.

Lasted 4 months
The boots were comfortable and waterproof. I wore them outside for chores and often got WET when filling water pans. The footbed felt nice and cushioned for 2 months before it started to loose it's "squish". I bought them in June and by September the sole was peeling off and the toe caps had worn off. I mean I figured for the price they wouldn't last as long as something like a Vasque or Merrel, but 4 -4.5 months is a pretty short life.

Best hiking boot brand for the money
This is my fifth pair of Nevados shoes in 10 years. They are tough and durable; the waterproof seal is really good, but does not extend up the entire length of the tongue so be mindful if you're creek crossing.

Great value for money!!!
I got these today and am very happy that I ordered them. They’re light but sturdy. Definitely waterproof. I live about 15 minutes out of Port Angeles, WA at the base of the Olympic Mountains. It rains hereA LOT!!! I bought them to replace another brand that I had for 3 years. These feel even better than the old ones. I’d suggest you get these, if you’re considering them. I’m pretty dang happy with them. I’m off to do my happy dance now. 😊
