Steampunk Alphabet Hardcover – Picture Book, June 25, 2013

I purchased this as a gift for my friend's 1 year old son, so he can learn his ABC's in a more exciting and unique way. Steam Punk anything is awesome, so when I saw this book I knew it would make the perfect gift, especially for this particular friend of mine. It feels extremely well made, the colors are true to what you see in the online photo, and it's just awesome! I'm a designer, so I appreciate when something is done tastefully, which sums up this book. Everything from the images, the colors, to the fonts just flows and is inline with the theme. Considering how much I see books going for nowadays, this book is FAIRLY priced for the quality of book that you'll receive.

Adorable book, excellent art, quite a bit of writing for different age groups. Could easily grow with a child.

Nat Iwata has hit the mark with this book! The book is printed on very heavy board, and is a beautiful work of art in itself. Nat's art is great, and the little descriptions really do give a view into an alternate world of Steampunk technology. I would recommend this book for anyone that is interested in this genre.

Loved it

I chose this rating because of the kids reaction when I offered it to them and their parents. The young ones immediately sat down and started reading. Even the older kids were entranced by the book. I caught parents reading it with delightful smiles when no one was looking. (We were at community input meetings about parks and recreation).

A clever and beautifully illustrated ABC book about steampunk items and concepts, along with fun text that creates an elaborate alternative world.

If you love steampunk, you will love this. Suitable for 3 Stages of learning - alphabet and 2 levels of intermediate reading. Very imaginative for fantasy loving households.

Great little book - loved the pictures and use of different objects to the usual A-Z pictures.
