Q: Is it required to connect the hyperdeck to the mini pro via the ethernet port?

I have a television studio pro hd and i connect the hyperdeck via sdi cable I have it connected via ethernet for control by the computer program

Q: Does the hdmi input signal loop through to the hdmi output connector when in standby or when recording?

With the unit turned on, the HDMI input signal will be feed to the HDMI output and its LED monitor while in record or playback modes.

Excellent quality HDMI video audio recorder. Bought the recommended memory card and the quality is outstanding. The video and audio is excellent quality. Could not play mp4 files back on my blue ray player. Ran files through a high quality mp4 encoder and the files came out perfect. Overall this is an out standing unit.
