ummmm, YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!
I gotta say, these bars are a real "wOw"!!! Having a great deal of experience with lots of low-carb bars over the years (including Quest!) I'd not heard of Allulose 'til recently. The Quest Hero Bar received some pretty decent reviews for an overall good-tasting bar so I thought I'd give them a try starting out with the Chocolate Caramel Pecan. My flavor decision seemed to have been pre-determined on Amazon as the Blueberry Cobbler was on a week-long backorder and the Vanilla Caramel was going to take an extra day to arrive. As it turned out, the Chocolate CP was a great first choice!!!The first thing I noticed is that the sheer size of each bar was a good bit larger than any other bar I've eaten lately. They weigh 2.12 oz each and feel like a nice hefty handful (lol!) all the while maintaining a texture that's lighter (but without being too airy) than many of the bars out there. Personally I had not been familiar with Quest's "Beyond Cereal Bars" (now discontinued), but this is basically *that* bar, in new flavors, now offered with a coating. So essentially, the Hero Bar is a coated, whey-protein cereal bar offering15 grams of protein! Perfect. This is the kind of bar I've been looking for, literally for years now, and to finally find it with a sweetener (NOT malitol and NOT anything that causes blood sugar spikes!) that tastes good, has no aftertaste and one that's not bad for you, is downright amazing!!!I can't wait to try the other flavors, and like many other reviewers have mentioned, I already can see where I'm going to really have to work on limiting myself to only one bar per day!!! ;-)

Delicious
Fair warning: I've been on a low-carb diet for about 10 years. I like the taste of these because they're not too sweet and have a mildly chewy texture, which is hard to find as a low carber. If you're coming off a standard American diet having consumed a lot of sugar, you might find the taste of these quite underwhelming. When I first started restricting my carbs, I absolutely hated alternatives to sugar. They were never sweet enough or they had an odd aftertaste. I like them now, but I'd say the change occurred around year 2 or 3.Moving on to the review:There's gooey caramel, something kind of chewy/crispy inside, and a chocolate coating. They're super yummy - about as close to a candy bar as you can find in the low-carb world. They're a little TOO good because one isn't very satisfying. That's what happened. My husband and I ate 2 or 3 a day and they were gone in no time. These are expensive, so that was a bad decision.IF you have good portion control, these are good to keep around for when you're on the go. I brought them traveling with me, for example. The only negative is the GI effect. Erythritol and allulose can absolutely cause diarrhea and stomach cramping, especially in excess. When I ate 3 bars in a day, I had diarrhea all day. If I eat a single bar, nothing happens. YMMV, but restricting portions is important here. Maybe you won't get away with one, maybe you can get away with a couple. I don't know, but that was my experience.

Tastes surprisingly good
Most protein bars that I've tried are designed to taste like desserts, which somewhat puts me off desserts, which isn't necessarily bad. But these are pretty good, though not quite as good as an actual candy bar. Then again, they aren't supposed to be treated like candy bars. I probably won't buy them again because I have impulse control issues regarding sweets. I'll probably stick to ones that I find to be "meh". Maybe someday I'll find a chicken alfredo flavor protein bar.

The best protein bar out there. Period!
Out of every bar I have tried, from all companies, this is by far my favorite hands down. The flavor is amazing. It feels like you are eating a candy bar, but there is only 2 grams of sugar. I eat as a meal replacement at lunch and it fills me up until dinner. I am totally satisfied. I had been buying these individually from Traders for a while, but reached a point where I couldn't find them so I bought the whole box from Amazon. So glad I did!First of all, they arrived quickly. Secondly, the way they were shipped to guarantee freshness and customer satisfaction was impressive. They go the extra mile, It was bubble wrapped and wrapped in ice so the chocolate wouldn't melt in hot S. FL heat. I was beyond impressed. I have ordered my second box now, and will continue to purchase these bars from Quest. Definately recommend.

No me gustó el sabor
No me gustó el sabor, sabe como a cobre! No me las comí, me daban náuseas cada vez que las consumía. Que pena, era una buena alternativa con bajas calorias. Deben mejorar el sabor.
