Sometimes It's Better Not To Read The Reviews!
After I purchased this docking station I read a review that this s not compatible with the Surface Pro X (SPX). Well everything I've tried works just fine with the SPX. I'm glad I didn't' see that review or I might not have purchased it. Display ports, USB A ports, Ethernet port, and headphone jack all work fine. USB A to HDMI no problems. Mini Display Port to HDMI works just fine. I'm at a loss of what the complaint could have been. This dock is compatible with the SPX.

An okay dock
The Mini Display port stopped working after a couple of months. Neither port works now and I've tried new cables and different monitors as well. They all work separately but not the port on the dock. I'm still able to use it for a mouse and keyboard so three stars.

Opens the possibilities for my Surface Pro and my portable monitor
My older Surface Pro has a weak monitor connection and I'm only happy with two monitors. This is a great solution. It also opens up USB ports for my external mouse and keyboard. I can plug in my USB drive for transferring my designs to my embroidery machine.Doing my genealogy research I can compare documents to my genealogy records side by side for confirmation.When I write code I can easily look up solutions and copy paste them into code moving from one screen to the other. Must have for using multiple peripherals

This is exactly what I needed to use this at work.

Has USB Issues
When I plug in a USB multi-port adapter, any device plugged into the other USB port stops working. Spend the extra $20 and buy genuine.

Not compatible with surface pro x like described
After finally getting the correct video cords and hooking it up with Microsoft support, and getting dual monitors for Christmas I am very disappointed that this product was sold to me to be compatible with the surface pro x , Whitch it is not compatible, am told by Microsoft that the surface dock 2 is what I need, I was misled by this seller and will never buy anything from them again if I can’t get a refund to buy the correct docking station or a return and the correct docking station sent for exchange

Better than the Microsoft version
This one works way better than the microsoft brand dock. I would highly recommend it over surface dock 2.
