It works immediately after putting it batteries. There’s literally no set up it’s awesome. Just pop some batteries in there press the home button and your Xbox starts right up. I don’t know about anyone else’s, but mine in particular registers most button presses. Every now and again I have to click it just one more time for it to register, but for the price? I’m not complaining. It feels durable enough. It’s just plastic what do you expect?. I’ve had it for over a month and the batteries are still good. This is because the controller goes to sleep if you’re not pressing anything. It’s a nice size for your hand and matches other controller sizes, it looks like Xbox made it. The backlight display is what I love the most. I can’t stand remotes that don’t light up when you touch them. This one detects any movement and lights up immediately.Overall, the value of what you’re getting for the price you’re paying is great and I’ve recommended it to my friends.

Perfect media remote. Feels well built and sturdy, motion activated lighting works perfectly, works even if not pointed at it. My only complaint which is very minor is the Xbox logo home button is a rubber rounded sticker which you can either use white or black logo, I think a built in button logo would have been 10/10 but its still a solid 9.5 out of 10. Well worth it

I got this originally to see if it worked because I don’t know about everybody else, but I use my Xbox series X to watch TV as well as play games and I tend to fall asleep with the TV on and I place my Xbox remote somewhere and forget where I put it. With this remote it auto connected to my Xbox once batteries were put in the remote and it works just like an Xbox remote. Like i literally turned my Xbox on with the new remote and used it as the regular Xbox controller and got into Netflix.Also a sidenote, the Xbox logo on the remote are not originally there. They come with a sticky back so you can choose where to put them.10/10 recommend

Works ok but doesn't control the volume on my TV. Also wish it had numbers to make it easy to change tv channels

Worked perfect for the series. Also it lights up whenever you pick it up which I thought was pretty cool. Much more natural feeling when your watching a movie or show to just have a remote you can pause/fast forward with

It's cool I guess but there are NO connection choices, it's like a universal remote, so It turns on mine and my wifes Xbox, also controlling both Xbox's at the same time. We have to completely unplug one Xbox to use it, very poor design. Even if the other console is in another room, it will still turn it on and open random apps, you could literally buy something on accident because your pushing buttons controlling one console while you're doing who knows what on the console in the other room.

No issues with this XBox remote on my XBox One (original). It seems durable and high quality. Easy to use and batteries last a couple months (I use rechargeable AAA batteries in it - not included).
