A great resource to look through and imagine 'what if'. Backed by scientific studies of the effects of nuclear war, it makes good study material and goes a long way to inform the reader about what they can do to survive such an event. however, it is showing its age a little, especially in the diagrams and photographs, which look like copies of copies of copies and could really do with cleaning up and updating. A great book and resource, but needs updating.

Whoever finds the world - especially the Developed (first world) countries - enforcing and propagating and taking deviant moral social values as norm. Even changing jurisdiction to support "Lawfuly". The defence expenditure of countries, in the last 20 years, globally increased manyfolds. This goes without saying that they not getting ready for peace. Americ's defence forces and establishment easily roughly 15 times bigger then they should have, regardles with what and how they justify (the regularly madeup enemies of democracies) its 800 billion $ expediture. Obviously I recommend this book for all these people, because the book packed with excellent, down to earth informations.

What a fascinating and highly informative, educational read. While the possibility of nuclear holocaust is not a joking matter, there is a lot of undue paranoia surrounding it and its effects. Kearny is informative and encouraging throughout the book showing that even you can take steps using materials at hand to protect you and your family. Well worth the easy read.
