First day. It seems to be working. My battery is charging. My ethernet is running 939Mb both directions, per speed-test, on a Gb service. My 4k display says it is refreshing at 60 hz. And the little usb stuff is working. That is what I expect.The reason I bought this was because the previous Anker hub lasted just 6 months. If this one dies prematurely, I will update this review and won't buy another.

I read a few reviews that complain about the L shape USB-C connector. I would have much preferred a straight one, but it is really not a problem that it covers the ports on a 2021 MBP. When plugged into the back left port, it covers the MagSafe power port. This is fine as it also provides power through the USB C port using Power Delivery which I believe is a better option anyway. If you replace the USB-C to MagSafe cable with a USB-C to USB-C cable, then you can use the original Apple power brick to power the hub which will pass power through to the MBP. That results in less clutter. If plugged into the right hand side, it covers the HDMI port, but the HUB has an HDMI port that you can use instead. In my case, I leave my HUB connected to Power, HDMI and Ethernet permanently. When I hook it up to my laptop, it is a single cable so it is much neater. To make things still neater, I now have a high quality thunderbolt extension cable, so the hub can sit out of site behind my monitor out of sight.If I was do knock a start off this product, it would still be because of this L shaped adapter. If they wanted to provide an L shaped connector, I think it should have been done as a detachable adapter. That would have made everyone happy.

June 14 2022I've used everything but the sd card reader and audio jack. The video charging, ethernet, and usb ports all work as expected. I really like that the material around the ports is metal instead of plastic. Most of the plastic around my ports on other devices is all marked up from all the times I've missed. Hopefully that will be less of an issue with metal, and it looks pretty nice. I'm sure I'll still manage to scratch it up some, but hopefully less than plastic.My complaint is that the right angle connector prevents it from working with my iPad case as the case comes up to the usb port. It'd be nice if on a relatively expensive hub the could periscope out the port a bit for wider compatibility, I bought a little c to c extender so that it would work with the case.

I was looking to rig together a dock for the Steam Deck, which led me to this item. I looked at a bunch of other USB hubs, but not many of them support 4K @ 60hz like this one. Well I'm happy to report that this works great with the steam deck for that purpose. One minor issue is that power plug on the top won't fit if you have a case on your Steam Deck. But that's a minor issue.

My college kid needed a good hub for her M1-based MacBook Pro Max, and this thing is not only compatible with M1 systems, it has everything she could need in a totally portable package. 10/10, nothing negative to say about this thing. Highly recommended.

I don't use this very much and the HDMI port has died. This is with 2 different computers including my new MacBook Pro M4 Pro. Such a shame.

Very well made and gives you many options when your laptop doesn't.

This is definitely the best hub I've used. If it wasn't for 1 particular feature, I would be raving even more. On the new Macbook Air MS, my configuration of the USB ports are such that I can really only use this adapter one way without blocking the other port or mag-charge port.
