I bought 2 of these because I wanted to be prepared for when the first one I loved so much eventually dies. I still love the product. It still is great. However the wheel goes bad somewhat soon [mere months after buying]. The mouse still works, but you can consider the wheel GONE. What happens, instead of scrolling down, it makes the scrolling unpredictably jump up and down and eventually leaving you to pretend the wheel isn't there and use the mouse like the old days before wheels.
