Three days before the college football national championship game, star quarterback LeMarcus James (Stephan James) and teammate Emmett Sunday (Alexander Ludwig) ignite a player's strike declaring they won't compete until all student-athletes are fairly compensated. With billions of dollars at risk and legacies on the line, the stakes could not be higher. Now, with only hours until kickoff, the head coach (J.K. Simmons) and various power brokers (Lil Rel Howery, Tim Blake Nelson, Andrew Bachelor, Jeffrey Donovan, David Koechner, Kristin Chenoweth, Timothy Olyphant, Uzo Aduba) must race against the clock to protect or destroy the prevailing collegiate athletics system.Bonus Content:Digital Copy of National Champions (Digital Copy redemption code subject to expiration. It was so so
I had been wanting to see this movie but the reviews weren't all great so it took me a while before I finally gave in. Well, it was ok. I probably could have lived without watching it but it was ok. I thought the concept was great, I just wasn't sure why I didn't get into it as much as I should have. The acting was good. Anyhow, it's kind of like eh, ok, parts in it were good. It made you think about how these college players don't get paid and I've alway thought that it was kind of unfair also but unfortunately it's just that way. Hopefully one day things can change, I mean we are in a capitalistic system and anyone who is putting in work to entertain others and bring money to their schools should be compensated I believe but I also understand it's not a simple answer.

I was not expecting this movie to be like this great job from showing the going on behind the scenes of all College /NFL pageantry.

TRUTH
Great movie ..... just wished it had came out a few years earlier, before the NIL deals have come into the light. Opened eyes on the pitfalls that college players face in ALL sports.
