SnowlineChainsen City - Medium

limited utility
got these for hiking out west on snow. they worked ok at best. the cleats are way to small to be effective on snow. if you are in deep snow or glacier potential, get ones with longer cleats. these ones are very light (which is really why i purchased them) but did come off a couple of times when i was boulder scrambling. if your application is light ice, they may be adequate for you.

Compact and easy to carry -- great as a backup or emergency
I run trails year-round. When they are icy, I prefer to run in my 14-spike, full-foot SnowLine cleats, but they are bulky so I don't always take them with me. The Snowline Chainsen City cleats are so compact--about the size of a coin purse!--that I can keep them in my running vest "just in case." That is especially helpful in Spring when trails look dry at the trailhead, but higher elevations can be covered in ice.
