Q: Does this include the circle parental controls?

NO, even though the product was advertised with parental controls, it has nothing more than the ability to manually remove connectivity for individual devices.

Q: How far will this send a signal?

I’m in an historic house—3 course brick plastered walls built in a horseshoe pattern. Lotta brick! I just set it up and maybe need to tweak distance between router and satellite, but I already have enough signal (~35Mbps) in my furthest corner—about 30’ from satellite1, placed about 20’ from the router. I’m also getting ~250Mbs in my carriage house studio, upstairs, about 65’ out the window/brick, accross the backyard and through a metal roof. I was running abput 13Mbs in the studio with the Xfinity router. Again, we haven’t evaluated best positioning, just plugged into existing Xfinity router and plopped the boosters where we had counters to plop onto. I had the 2-piece older version in my last home which worked GREAT, and nice small honestly way cuter units—mighta done the trick here too but after agonizing, I was impatient and concerned about all the brick and plaster. (Couldn’t TRY last one—it burned with the house). So mighta been overkill but I am confident I am set up for future internet tv’s in guest room, ring cameras all over the perimeter of an 8000sf lot.

Q: does it work with alexa echo ?

Yes this works with Alexa echo and other Alexa devices. All the Amazon devices can connect to your wireless network with this router and the satellite. Works great!

Q: Can i change the name of the network so I don't have to rename existing devices?

Yes - it's quite simple and I did the same. You'll want to make sure your existing network stops broadcasting the same SSID, even if you are still using it as an internet modem.
