Kanu SurfBoys' Line Up Quick Dry UPF 50+ Beach Swim Trunk

My son is 16 years old and he wears men's Small for top but he has hard time finding bottoms because he's waist is 27". He can wear Men's 28" waist pants but that is a bit big and loose on him. He is 5'6" tall for your reference.So when he was looking for a new swim trunk this summer, rather than going with 28" or Men's size Small, we bought this Boy's size 14-16 and this fits him well! It's actually still a bit loose on him but that's okay since the trunk has elastic waist as well as drawstring with double loop holes to securely tighten on his waist.He loves it because:✔️ It fits his 27" waist well and comfortably✔️ It has mesh lining for additional comfort✔️ It's not too short and comes down to just above his knees✔️ Awesome design and patterns✔️ Elastic waist and drawstring for flexible fitting✔️ UPF 50+, lightweight, quick drying, and a side pocket is a nice to have.BOTTOM LINE:5 out of 5 stars. I bought 7 pairs of shorts, pants, and swim trunks from Amazon all in size 3T....and the Kanu brand swim trunks were remarkably smaller by a whole size at least (two inches smaller in the waist per photo) - and the fabric is much stiffer than Carter's brand and fabric (which is the blue pair of swim trunks in the same photo). The bottom two pairs of summer shorts are also a size 3T....but the green Kanu swim trunks on top are easily a size 2T, are stiff and uncomfortable, and have very THICK seams which makes them ever more stiff and scratchy and uncomfortable. I will stick with Carter's soft, and comfortable swim trunks that are more true to size also.

Bought an 18/20 for my super-skinny 15-year-old who usually wears a men's xs. I wanted him to feel comfortable and secure (i.e., no trunks falling off), but I also didn't want them to be too short. These are a great length, and are heavy enough to be durable but light enough to be comfortable. Great buy, and I looked around A LOT.

Went by the size chart and ordered a 10-12 but son couldn't get them past his thighs. Exchanged for a 14-16 and with only an inch more of fabric couldn't get them past his butt. Finally got an 18-20 and it fit around the waist but now he looks like he is wearing capris unless I pull them up to his belly button which is fine we don't need no plumber's crack in the school pool. Kid is only 103lbs and as far as chest measurements he almost middle of the 10-12 measurements. Think they need to rethink the sizing chart and do hip measurements instead of by weight and chest. Fits 10-12 in other clothing. So definitely sized small. Recommend buying a size larger at least and if that don't work you can exchange for next size up. We ordered the rash guard shirt too and that fit as expected for the 10-12 we ordered.

Son really likes these swim trunks. He has a small waist so usually I have to take swim trunks in by folding and sewing a bit on each side. These can tighten with the drawstring around waist - on many trunks that drawstring is more for show and only in front- this one has a true drawstring. I'm happy because no need to alter :). Also, good price so may buy more for future.

These swim shorts are really nice quality and the price was reasonable. I ordered a size smaller based on other reviews that said this runs a bit large, but I wish I ordered my son’s actual size. Going down a size ended up being pretty snug and a little short on my son. He’s of average weight and height for his age. The shorts fit ok but they won’t last him long. Definitely recommend staying with your child’s actual size. Really great shorts though.

Love the shorts and so does my son. Color is as displayed. Fits a little loose the way a size 5/6 normally fits him (5 almost 6yrs old about 48lbs). And has the functional drawstring so will be perfect. Not sure how it will go once we wear it in the water. It does have that mesh net so might cause friction rub but that’s pretty normal with board shorts. They didn’t come with that chemical smell that a lot of online clothes have. Would buy again.

My son is thin and narrow at about 5’9 tall. He is 14 but for him I decided to go with the larger size 18, based on other’s reviews. Well it turns out I made the wise choice since they fit him great. Was concerned they’d be too loose to stay on, but he says they fit comfortably. Note that the waist is adjustable!!! He hasn’t done any swimming in them as of yet, so we shall see how they hold up. For now though, quality is 4 star at the very least...the material is substantial and it’s got the inner lining if I remember correctly. The shorts appear longer in person than in the photo, no complaints here though because they cover his knees. I am ordering a second pair in the same size but different color. Growing so fast he is, so these may last longer than some of things he has rapidly outgrown.

Está muy bien hecho. Viene de muy buen tamaño en la cintura porque mi hijo es muy delgado sin embrago aunque a él le gustó a mi me parece que es muy largo, le queda arriba de la rodilla

La tela es de secado rápido, eso resulta bastante práctico en las vacaciones, el diseño es bonito.

BUENA CALIDAD TALLA ESTA REDUCIDA

Lo compre para mi hijo, le gusta mucho, esta muy cómodo, tiene un buen largo y ajuste en la cintura, las bolsas hacen muy feliz a mi niño porque ahi guarda sus tonterías para la alberca.

My 12-year-old loved this design, this is by far his favourite bathing suit.
