This is one bright little flashlight. This is a flood light not a spot light. It puts out a wide beam but in turbo mode it will light everything near and far. There are 4 brightness settings plus strobe. There is a side switch and tail switch so you have a choice when operating the light. The 26650 self charging battery makes this flashlight very easy to keep charged up. The side switch can sometimes be hard to locate by touch. That is when the tail switch can come in handy. The lock out is also a nice feature. When I throw this light in a bag with other gear I can be sure that the light is not accidentally turned on. The flashlight has a solid high quality feel. The rubber cover over micro usb charging connector could be more rugged. This cover could be a weak point over time.

I am a flashlight addict and this light has no equals well except for the spotlights at the local airport. I have used this nightly for the past few months and the single 26650 is perfect. I use the highest setting for my walk with my dog and it gets warm but never hot. After 30 minutes on high there is still lots of life left.After you get this the rest will gather dust.

Pros:Excellent construction, esp. for a Chinese manufacturer.Reasonably waterproofBuilt in charger is fast.Charging port is well protected.Still semi-pocketable26650 is good battery formatVery bright on Turbo with a practical beam pattern.Cons:Needs flats. Rolls too easily, even with the side buttons.Side button not instantly "findable". (altered flats might help).Heats up quick on turbo and cranks down.Poor brightness programming. This, in my opinion, is the biggest con of all and dwarfs the others.The step between Turbo and High is ridiculously wide. I have $29 flashlights that are noticeably brighter and just about about as beamy and white as the "high" setting at 650 lumens. High needs to be about 1000-1200 lumens, judging by its performance next to a cheap 14500 Sipik from Deal Extreme. There should still be plenty of run time at that brightness, over 3 hours I would think. Then, they need to boost Medium to about 500 and low to 30-60. Does anyone really need 150 hours of run time at a brightness way dimmer than you'd get from a Bic lighter? Personally, I'd rather have 50-70 hrs of actual usable light, not something only useful for avoiding large objects after being woken up at night. If I can see well enough to find this flashlight, I can see well enough not to need that pathetic 15 lumens.Would I buy it again? Not if I had used it in the real world first. But I'm not returning it. It's a well built light and I have other ways to get throw or to fill in that gap between 650 and 3k lumens.. It'll be useful for the car or boat or somewhere where I usually don't need a great deal of light for any length of time, but might need it for something critical.

This light is super bright just became my new EDC, this is not a spot light this is more of a flood light its just 150 Meter throw but still great, this is my first Klarus and totally love it and the 2 switches are great.

Using 2 buttons allows you to access memory mode and also start out form the lowest output first, well thought out flashlight.
