Good design, poor manufacturing
I really liked the size and design of these, however, they immediately fell apart. Its like they forgot to finish manufacturing them. On both the plastic and metal top lids come apart. You go to remove it and the metal part is in your hand and plastic part still on the jar. On one, the plastic ring around the grinder wheel won't stay in place. Luckily, it fell off on my food instead of into the grill fire. I don't know if they were supposed to use glue or some sort of fastener, but the parts seem to be just sitting there loose, ready to come apart. Very odd.I probably could have glued the tops myself, but after the plastic ring fell off I started thinking maybe the whole product is shoddily constructed. This all happened within the first couple of uses, who knows what will happen next? I sent them back. Maybe it was just bad luck.

Don't waste your money.
I forgot to choose a star so my previous review wasn't on the site. My grinders were complete junk. They don't adjust let alone grind. Here is the ziconii reply:One minute of your time can have a HUGE effect on us. What am I talking about? Leaving a product review.I assure you, we don’t take reviews lightly.Don’t believe me?Each time after someone like you leaves a product review, a little buzzer goes off in our office. Our entire team can hear it, and when it goes off everyone smiles. If you do leave a review - I know exactly what will happen. Our manager sitting in his corner office will start a golf clap and our warehouse guy will do a pushup (I don’t know why, but for some reason he does a pushup each time the buzzer goes off).Steve, our head of marketing, will run outside and give the first old lady he can find a giant hug, and, if she's lucky he'll probably try and kiss her.I’m also 99% sure Maryna, our marketing director will take a shot of tequila. I have no idea why she’s drinking at work, but hey, the kid gets so freaking excited over product reviews.Wait, shoot... I’m getting off topic.Look, I didn’t write this to tell you about our team’s awful impulse control, but to thank you in advance for leaving a product review. if you can't tell, we live and die for these things so just can't express it enough. With Love and Humor, ziconii Customer Service

Poor Quality & Not Ergonomically Designed
I don't recommend. Each mill has a nice heft to it (because of the glass), but the upper (stainless steel/grinder) portion is not well made:1.) The entire "stainless steel" upper portion feels and looks cheap. It is in fact a veneer (about 1/2 mm thick) over plastic.2.) The protective cap is difficult to remove. It is intended to keep kitchen dust and grime out of the grinder, but it is actually slightly SMALLER in size than the base it snaps onto, and it has no lip that you can use to pull it apart from the base. Therefore you have to firmly grab opposite sides with thumb and forefinger on a surface that is less than 1/4 inch wide, grip tightly, and pull until it finally comes off or you lose your grip.3.) Mine arrived defective. The "stainless steel" waist had an imperfection that wouldn't clean away, and the mill squealed even before I tightened the burr down for grinding or loaded it with salt. The sound was awful, and the mill was difficult to turn and felt unpleasant (even before it was loaded with salt). On the plus side, the "ceramic" burr --IS-- adjustable so that you can change the size of the grind.

At last pepper mills that are easy to fill
I received these promptly and in perfect shape-my main reason for purchase is that you fill them like you fill a jar-I have had years of minor frustration trying to fill peppercorns into a mill. There are no directions about how to change the grind from fine-to coarse which is my only complaint and that is not a really big deal. There are attractive in a cool vibe kind of way. I am pleased.

Wish they were full
These grinders are heavyweight grinders. I don't know about the mechanism yet because they came empty. The advertisement and the pictures on the box all lead you to believe these are fully loaded and can be refilled. I was upset to open the box and find them empty. Now I have to go find peppercorn and salt to fill them with. For the price I certainly expected them to be full. I could have purchased other full grinders for the same price so these need to be exceptional grinders to be worth the price.

Almost Perfect
Very nice grinders for home use. Caps are a little hard to pop off. Another issue is when you finish grinding and set them upright, the next time you turn them over, a "shot" of salt/pepper falls out. I have learned to deal with both issues. Even bought a 2nd set for my daughter.

Great Buy
Bought them on an impulse. They were cheap enough that if I didn't like them it wouldn't be a big loss. We have a very expensive set that we hate. Result? Big pretty brass set is going in the garage sale pile. These work great. AND, I know when the spice is running low. No more running out mid season.

Very good for bargain price
We like that the storage position for these is upright, meaning that the grinding apparatus is not at the bottom (often residues of salt or pepper then sift through to cupboard shelf or table). It's a little nuisance to remove the caps each time before use but they cover the openings and keep everything tidy. Gives a nice range of coarse to fine for grind. I believe these might have been on a daily deal when we ordered them for about $10.00. We've only used them for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to the long term durability.
