Great for sensitive skin, better than American sunscreens!
Great product that works well with my sensitive skin!Quick note too, this version is NOT waterproof. The description doesn't exactly make that clear. I use it as a face sunscreen, and occasionally on my body when needed. The Sport version is waterproof.I've tried a lot of sunscreens over the years, and ever since I was a little kid I've always been sensitive to some chemical that's put in them, particularly around the eye area. If I wipe even a little accidentally near it I'm hit with this intense burning sensation that lasts for several minutes and causes my eyes to water up. It sucks.I was doing some research online and found out about this chemical Mexoryl, which was developed by Garnier. It's been approved for sunscreens basically everywhere else in the world besides the United States (thanks to anticompetitive trade groups) and is supposed to be great for sensitive skin and not irritating at all.The claims are true, even when I inadvertently have wiped some in my eyes the sunscreen doesn't burn at all. I sometimes used to get a tingling sensation even when I was extra careful but there hasn't been any of that either. One warning though, there's a whitish sheen that the sunscreen leaves on your face that lingers for a few minutes but eventually dissipates. Make sure you rub it in well, and put it on a few minutes before you leave the house.

Great sunscreen, although NOT water resistant.
I have purchased the sunscreen several times. I sought it out for the extra UVA protection offered by the mexoryl XL and mexoryl SX. The sunburn protection it provides is very good. I also love that it has no perfumes or added scents.Currently, the bullet points under the product image state that the sunscreen is water resistant. However that is not the case. The instructions on the bottle state "use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating." The water resistant version, which I have purchased before on Amazon, although it does not appear to be currently (June 2017) available here, is labeled "water resistant lotion" on the front label instead of "lightweight lotion". And the directions for the water resistant version state "reapply every two hours or as needed or after swimming, washing, towel drying, or perspiring heavily."

works well.
I never used expensive sunscreens. I am a male and my understanding of skincare is limited to washing it in the shower. I am out in the sun about 7 or so hours a day so I figured I should get something substantial. This doesn't make my face look like I have sunscreen on.Someone had recommended this one in a review of another sunscreen which is twice as expensive and doesn't have mexoryl in it. The chemical is supposed to be good for you. I haven't read up on it a lot but what I read seemed to be good.I'd buy this again.

Highly recommended with some warnings
Mexoryl is a really stable UVA blocker so you dont have to worry as much about reapplication. The sunscreen itself dries clear and is good under makeup. I use thick layers however and it dries with white flakes and when I wipe away the flakes it looks like Im taking the whole layer of sunscreen off. I love the consistency other than those flakes and it is shiny for like 15 minutes before it dries. The sunscreen also should not get into the eyes. Because it BURNS. Even if Im washing it off I avoid the eye area until after ive washed the surrounding area of my face with soap and water. Please be careful not to even apply around the eye area as even rubbing your eyes with sunscreened hands might cause stinging to the eyes.Other than that, sunscreen works great. No burning if out in the sun for long periods. No redness to the skin on hot Florida days. My skin hasn't darkened since using this in the summer either and I'm fair skinned.

Great multi-use product, strong smell disappears after 15 min
Glad to have access to Mexoryl. This sunscreen is made for the body; I use it for my body but also on my face some days (I am 39 with average skin). This product doesn't settle into my wrinkles, but as it's a chemical sunscreen it might sting your eyes if you're sensitive to them (I use a physical sunscreen around my eyes). This product goes on dry and holds up well here in the Florida heat and humidity, which can't be said for the La Roche-Posay products that I bought in Europe that also have Mexoryl. Does have that intense sunscreen smell, but it dissipates after about 15 minutes.

NEVER FOR THE FACE
I've always been a susncreen addict and was always careful on washing sunscreen off every night as to avoid getting into my eyes but this sunscreen leaves small little residue while it stays longer on the face. and at one time, the white residue just slipped into my right eye and I had to go to Urgent Care to have it remove. because the residue was stuck on my eye for 3 days and I couldnt get it out.

Really effective
I love sunscreens from abroad as the ingredients are much better and comprehensive than those in the US due to the FDA being so slow to approve better ingredients,. This is a large bottle too, reasonably priced and goes on nicely. It is thick, so I often add a couple of drops of serum, moisturizer or oil to thin it out for better application. I live in the desert climate so sunscreen is a daily must. Will repurchase I'm sure!
