The only mobile DMR radio you'll ever need.
I have purchased and evaluated several DMR radios and I will tell you that I should have just purchased this one to begin with. You truly do get what you pay for. It is a heavy, stout, durable unit. I have not tested the power output, though I have no reason to believe that it differs appreciably from what is advertised. The transmitted audio is of excellent quality, according to DMR conversation partners. Code plugs programming is not difficult. The code plug editor is easy to learn and competent. The editor effortlessly imported the entire DMR ID database. This radio comes with a Bluetooth PTT button that works flawlessly. It also comes with a GPS antenna with about a ten foot lead. My desk to which I have affixed the radio is about six feet away from a window. I simply have the antenna line coiled up and the GPS antenna generally facing the window. The GPS antenna is so sensitive that it still provides adequate GPS signal to allow a fix within ten minutes. If I uncoil the line and place the antenna outside the window, I achieve a fix within thirty seconds. The GPS circuitry of the radio permits you to choose among GPS, Glonass, and the Chinese positioning system, or all three. The menu system is easy to learn and effortless to navigate. The radio allows for adjusting the mic gain for both analog and digital. Of the scale of 1 to 5 of microphone gain, I recommend level 1.The radio has many features which I have not yet even explored. The Anytone 578 is a fine mobile analog and digital radio. Don't waste your time with others. Buy this one to start with. And don't forget that Bridgecomm Systems provides lots of after-purchase support.

Good Radio, Good Price, arrived pretty quick!
This is a good radio at reasonable price for a tri-bander. Does have a learning curve for the DMR Digital stuff. I own their handhelds too so I am set!

Very useful for the ham shack or mobile
Had this radio for a year and a half and have enjoyed it quite a bit. For the features it is worth the money compared to the more expensive Japanese radios.

Overall great radio
Only problem with mine was the screen glass came loose when received, problem with the glue. I didn’t feel like returning it so I pressed the screen back on and hasn’t been an issue since. Could be a point of concern if you are going to use this radio outside in the weather.

Best Of The Best
The Bridgecom AnyTone 578UVIII Plus mobile radio is simply the best. It was a breeze to program by applying the code plug from my Bridgecom AnyTone D878UVII Plus HT. The multitude of the programmable features makes it a joy to switch between analog to DMR. I can be checking into my favorite local analog repeater nets then with a push of a button on the mic switch over to Talk Group 91 Worldwide DMR and check into a worldwide net. The Bridgecom offering of AnyTone DMR radios both mobile and handheld make for a truly enjoyable experience. This is true for the amateur radio operator who likes to work his own way in the learning experience with the help of the extensive Brigdgecom training videos or the amateur radio operator who wants the plug and play experience using Bridgecom’s expertise to configure the equipment. The amateur radio operator can also expand the DMR experience with the Bridgecom SkyBridge Max hotspot.

Couldn't ask for much more in a DMR/Base station configuration
I bought this for the total package of capabilities it has to mount in my vehicle, especially when pairing capabilities with a handheld 878 model when mobile. So far I'm very impressed. Signal reports have been great, monitoring local DMR has been just what I was looking for, and programming isn't complicated once you understand the CPS basics. for VHF and UHF with DMR capability, I can't think there are many better options. I'll probably add another one in a MANPAC configuration at some point and a few more 878's for disaster communication preparation.

No display outa box fail.
Like the 878 there is no manual.I followed video instructions exactly. Turned radio on, it clicks, draws normal supply current, makes a sound after 8 seconds, lights up mic but zero display on radio.Thankfully I only wasted 15 minutes with this. Packed it back up and returned for refund.I liked my 878 after taming its incessant programming glitches so Im not impressed by this at all especially considering another likely glitch session should I choose to exchange. .Good riddance. 3 stars for YMMV.
