Very nice camera & NVR picture is great. Had trouble getting access from mac to nvr, called amcrest and Julin took control and did the software for me and it works great.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AMCREAST OR QCAM!!! Period.I bought this system October of last year and now it is discontinued.One of my cameras is malfunctioning so I asked for RMA. It takes 72 hours for them to respond.I got email back asking a stupid question if I tried hard reset. WTF do you think. Of course I tried, several timeswith tech support confirming that camera is malfunctioning and they used TeamViewer on my computer.So I responded to this email and guess what? Another 72 wait. Their tech support people are dumb as my shoe putting me on holdto go ask the supervisor a question. Most questions. So now I want to get another camera in addition of 4 I have (assuming they will fix or exchange the broken one) but no such luck. Their own Amcrest cameras don't work with Qcam NVR. The same company making both products.And my cameras will not work with Amcrest NVR either. And no third party cameras will work with my NVR. Basically I am stuck.This is the worst company I ever dealt with. Amazon!!! are you reading this? You should not sell Amcrest products on your site!!!!!

The media could not be loaded.  Out of the box so far so good. I'm not as impressed with the video quality as I thought I would be with a 3MP system, but I'm not sure if that's a camera issue or just over expectations on my part. The software was a little confusing to get started, the browser software kept needing to install a plug-in but never worked. Ended up going to Amcrest's website to download the viewer then it worked.The video output when saving the footage is not bad, again I think I expected better then is possible. I uploaded a short video to show the quality.So far the only other thing to note it the limited viewing angle, its a little narrow for my liking.

Do not buy Qcam!! As reported in other reviews, I can confirm this company is out of business and you cannot get support OR any additional cameras or equipment that will work with this NVR. I bought my system in September 2016 and less than a year later it's not relevant anymore. Amcrest was the company that you called for support so I would stay away from that stuff too. BUYER BEWARE

Christine with support was great. I had an issue with being locked out. Only thing that was somewhat time consuming was trying to track down proof of purchase. But being a security system, I can understand.

I'm only writing this, because of the lack of reviews on what I think is a great product, at least so far. I (sceptically, because of the lack of reviews) bought this as a lightening deal, and have been very pleased/impressed, so far! I've had to call customer support, but "Dustin" seemed knowledgeable and got me up and remotely viewing. The picture quality you ask? Definitely, the best night picture I have seen within a reasonable distance, especially in this price range. This is my third camera system (but first digital system, NVR), each time upgrading to new features with better cameras. This system for me, was like going from an old CRT TV, to a LED TV.Remember QCam Link app for the phone (awesome app with many features). And for the desktop, what worked for me was a program called SmartClient.

The tech support was very helpful in setting up my camera system. The camera works great!POE is great so I can run it far from my DVR.Luke was very helpful!
