Q: What's the difference between this razor and the Fatip Grande?

The Grande has a bigger handle. Don't buy the razor the quality is horrible. The finish wore off quickly and I dropped the razor and the handle bent. If at all possible buy the Muhle R41 open comb razor. You will be much happier the R41 is a great razor. I hope this helps.

I haven't seen this with my Fatip but it's common with less expensive razors. If it doesn't seem to impact the comfort or closeness of your shave, I wouldn't worry about it. If it does, you may want to try another blade. If that doesn't work, return it for another one. BTW this is one of my favorite DE razors and I have about 40 of them. The only shortcoming I see with the razor is the small, light handle. I replaced it with a Utopia handle and it's a beast! It is nickel, but the two look pretty similar, so it is not surprising that some of the reviewers might have made that mistake.

Blade alignment is critical to a good shave. When putting a blade in a safety razor it can move around some on the posts. You need to align this as you tighten the handle. This is normal because of tolerances in blades and razors. Some combinations move around more than others.
