Sigma ……spin off from final dawn
Read all 7 of the final dawn series, waiting the next instalment, so I thought check out this spin off, let’s see where it goes, I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Ginger, duke, Ghost and co really develop into their own full adventure, if you like star ship troopers, desperate survival warfare and a splash of humour you’ll love this, already reading book 2, iron nest. Highly recommended 5 stars.

Time to bug out
Basically Starship Troopers. Got a good wedge in but finally skipped to the end somewhat bored with the narrative. I do like the Final Dawn series but this was an excursion to far and wont be reading the next book.

Book 1
I love the first book in a new series, that moment when you know you’re right at the start of something special, some new potential it creates a feeling of joy and excitement. This book had that feeling in abundance - ok not fully on board with the cockroaches (who would be) but let’s be honest they’ll outlive humans.A great read

Yet another great read.
Without going into plot details and to avoid spoilers, I'm going to say this book is a great continuation of the Final Dawn series. The worldbuilding is very believable and immensely adds to the story. I absolutely love the depth of the characters and their reactions to new situations. The plot revolves around fireteam Sigma, who is making its way through an alien planet. While there's lots of action, the description of the battles focuses on human emotions and the actual action rather than military techniques. If you're looking for a Tom Clancy type of book, it may not be the exact fit.All in all, it is a very enjoyable read and I would recommend it regardless if you read the previous Final Dawn books or not.

Roaches vs Last Humans
I read this in one sitting, glued to my phone. Fast-paced, fraught with danger, characters you care about and not just because I've read previous books in this sci-fi world. Definitely reminded me of Starship Troopers (the film, although I have read and enjoyed the book as well lol) and there was distinct satisfaction at killing the roaches. More, please.

Highly recommended.
Sigma by T.W.M. Ashford.War for the new terra book 1.We knew the cockroaches would inherit the Earth. We just didn’t think they’d take over our next planet, too.The Earth is gone, and its survivors are in desperate need of a new home. Trapped on board Arks orbiting New Terra, the UEC fleet orders a full invasion. The planet is theirs if they want it… they just need to clear out the massive bug infestation first.Ginger and her squadmates in Fireteam Sigma are no strangers to alien worlds – this isn’t the first planet they’ve tried to colonise. But they’ve never gone up against an enemy like this before: hungry, seven foot roaches capable of biting a marine in two. It’s going to take everything Sigma’s got – and more – to survive. Can Fireteam Sigma liberate the first New Terran city? Or has humanity simply delayed its own extinction?I really enjoyed this book. Great story and characters like Ghost Ginger Bradley Duke and Elizabeth. There was more characters but I'm sure I will get to know them as the series grows. Looking forward to the next book. 5*.

smashing read
I loved the initial series and loved every book, this one steers away from them but is no less of a decent read. I mean who doesn't love a good battle against giant space bugs as humanity looks for a new home. As always this has been brilliantly written with full characters and brilliant locations. would recommend to anyone, well apart from someone who reads chick-lit. I mean who does that?

Fantastic spin off of the Final Dawn series
Fantastic book, thoroughly enjoyed it. It's relatively short so a nice easy quick read, but still a great story and I'd highly recommend it. It's great to have a continuation of the final dawn series as they were fantastic books, if you haven't read them then I would recommend reading them first so you get the background, though this one can also be read as a stand alone story. Definitely looking forward to the rest of this series.
