My magtag dryer quit heating a couple of weeks ago. My husband who is very handy, thank goodness, was able to diagnose that it was this part. He was able to open the dryer door and easily install the part into the dryer. After installation, it was time to test if it would work. I had my fingers crossed! We started it up and it if oted and kept running and heating the dryer! I was so happy. We had tried another part before and it didn't work. It has been a couple of days now and still working like a champ. You just can't beat those old Maytag. The part shipped very quickly. We also received it very quickly as well. I just had to wait for my husband to install it.I would definitely purchase this item again. The description on the order was very good and I was able to find that this particular part worked for my specific dryer. It fit perfectly!I was worried about what the price would be since my dryer is at least 25 years old ( have I mentioned that the old washer and dryers are the best?). Anyway we found this part and to my surprise, it was under $10, and we got 2 of them! I am so thankful for a handy husband, and for this inexpensive part that fixed us right back up and I am again able to dry all this laundry! Thank you!!

worked great saved me a bunch money

We have a 20+ year old Maytag Neptune with the drying cabinet. It was really expensive back then, and it turns out they aren't made anymore and are pretty rare. To make it more fun, we converted it from gas to propane when we moved to our home with no gas service. So, when it slowly stopped drying our clothes, we were worried we'd have to replace it with something not nearly as functional. My husband took it apart and started doing internet research. Apparently, these are known to commonly fail.Rating installation on this is tricky. Getting to the part turned out to be easy on our dryer, as the assembly is right in front, but some models require removing the drum and/or are hard to reach. Once you are in the right spot, it's two screws to remove the cage, pull out the old and pop in the new. These are just like the OEM parts, except for having no printing on them, but they fit fine, and, more importantly, they work!

I have a White-Westinghouse gas dryer from 1991 and it was having issues. It would fire up initially to warm up the dryer, then the fire would go out like it's supposed to but it would not come back on. The fire was all orange, too -- not blue like you would expect. I would hear a high pitched chattering sound while the fire was supposed to be on after that. I really thought I was screwed and would have to buy a $400 dryer. So I took the inspection cover off after I did some research and learned that the chattering was coming from my gas valve and that the coils were not actuating the valve properly. So I figured, "For $8.89, I might as well give it a shot." Fixed it immediately and it was so easy to do. Just look it up on YouTube. You have to unscrew 2 screws and unplug the wires from the coils and that's literally it. Installation is the reverse of the removal. This was so easy and I would recommend this to anyone having a similar issue to me, as these coils are all pretty standardized across most gas dryers.I would also recommend cleaning out your vent while you are doing dryer maintenance. I did mine the easy way. I just shoved a leaf blower in my vent that goes into the wall, sealed it with a rag, and cranked it on. My yard was full of lint but there is much more air coming through the vent now. My dryer used to get hot to the touch on the outside and dryers are not supposed to be hot to the touch. Now it's barely warm because the heat is going outside the house through the vent like it's supposed to. It lowers the risk of fire as well.Money is hard to come by these days but this is such a cheap and simple solution that I couldn't recommend it enough. My wife and I are so happy this worked. My dryer works better than ever. 10/10 would recommend.

I can fix a lot of things with an engine but when my dryer stopped working I thought it was toast. Bought this and it fixed the problem of it just spinning and spinning but no heat. Hope this helps someone save some money

18 yr old Whirlpool gas dryer wasn’t heating properly. Diagnosed the easiest and cheapest parts to repair first starting with the solenoid. This was the parts I needed, changed them out easily, and we have a hot dryer again.

Other sites wanted 80 dollars just for a secondary coil. Amazon was in my ballpark.

It saves my gas dryer and much money, I don't need to buy a new one!
