Good product!
I just finally used this and it was pretty easy. Only thing was my light colors do not match what the instructions say will happen. I have no yellow light. I also dont think I got enough suction but I will keep trying as I said this was my first time. Need practice! Great price as well! Thanks.

Good little machine.
Very easy to use, and fast. It does what it's supposed to do, but I feel like maybe my meats are not "tight" enough? I vacuum sealed some bread and man was it sealed, but all my meat (200 dollars worth that I bought for this machine, just so I could seal and save money on shopping later) just don't look or feel as "tight" but the air is out, and it sealed, and for that reason it gets 4 stars not 5.

Great Value
This project is a great addition to my kitchen. It helps me sage money by keeping things fresh and so easy to use!

Works well for thin bags but not so much on heavier duty ones
This vacuum sealer works very well on your old run-of-the-mill freezer bag, but when faced with an extra thick, heavy-duty bag, it just isn't up to the challenge. With the thicker bags, it often won't fully seal, leading to food becoming contaminated from air exchange.

Works well. Must read instructions carefully
I bought this 4 months ago and finally had an opportunity to use it. I’ve had sealers before but none with a vacuum so I had to read the instructions carefully and I admit with my form of dyslexia this is not easy. Instructions say lights turn from yellow to blue or vise versa. My sealer LEDs only showed RED to blue/ blue to RED. Nowhere in the pictures of the device does it show where the “vacuum tank” is located. I could only assume it is the shallow slot between sealing sponge. Only until operating instruction #10 does it allude to this tank. It says “When the vacuum tank sucks too much liquid, please remove it immediately to avoid damaging the vacuum pump.” I assume “too much” means when tank is close to overflowing and “remove it” refers to the liquid not the tank. I don’t find explanation or significance for the Dry/ Wet Food button nor how one knows when the tank is too full during vacuum operation. Now that I have experimented a few times I think I understand and can use the sealer even without vacuum feature. I like the sealer but operation is not intuitive and instructions could be more thorough.

Place the bag in the right spot
1st update: Just received my vacuum. I did ALOT of searching and review-watching to find a reliable vacuum sealer. The search was very weary because every single vacuum sealer I saw that had been reviewed had alot of bad reviews and it was always something with reliability. I finally just decided to swallow my pride for perfection and settle with anything. I came across this vacuum sealer and it arrived in 2 days. Out of the box, you can tell it is cheaply made (as long as it works its fine). For the price, I wouldn't expect much. My first vacuum was unsuccessful and I had a preconceived judgement of "ofcourse it doesn't work; I should've listened to the reviews" and such thoughts arised. I paid my money for it, so I was going to find a way to make it work. Turns out I misplaced the bag, and that's a common theme I see with theses other reviews about bad suction or barely sucking. There is a non-specified particular place where you have to place the opening ends. I found the best place to be where the liquid drainage dip was. After that, it worked how it should--air tight. Now this is subject to change when I get more and more uses out of it. I also bought vacuum sealer bags that are compatible with this machine so I will test thoses aswell. *make sure when you are not using it, you don't lock it*

Could be better
I had trouble getting the first bag to pull out all the air to be ready to seal I cut off the top of the bag and tried again. The second time was a bit better. I did another bag and it worked perfectly. The third bag had to be done twice once again with mediocre results. The unit is on the smaller side and this is perfect for storing. I was not happy with the results I got and also am not sure I was supposed to get the little cup for the outside suction to seal jars but that did not come with the unit. It showed it in the instructions.

Works great!!
UPDATE: After using this several times and rereading the directions several times it is working great! I was not doing something right when I wrote the first review. The roll of bags you cut are sealing properly now that I am doing it right LOL and the bags that came with it are too. I sealed a head of lettuce chopped up nearly 3 weeks ago and it still looks as fresh as the day I cut it. I have cut the bag, got some lettuce out, and resealed it twice and it is still fresh. Love this machine! Yes I would recommend it!This worked great the first couple times I used it. I've had it a few weeks now and it doesn't always want to seal. I spent 30 minutes the other day trying to get it to seal a bag I had cut off a roll so I could fill the bag. Once I got that part to work it wouldn't seal tight or suck all the air out of the bag. I'm not sure I bought the right kind now. Maybe spending more for another brand would have been better.
