Big Brothers Are the Best (Fiction Picture Books)

I bought this for my friend’s son, and she said it is very cute and a good story as they prep their son to become a big brother.

I got this for my 3 year old grandson to read before his new sister was born. It has great graphics. The story line is easy for younger children to understand. He likes to look at the book on his own and to have the book read to him. It is sturdy and should last a long time.

I got this book for my son who is 17 months old and we are expecting our baby girl. it is a very cute book to help explain to him about being a new big brother

The fit was perfect & it made a 3 year old feel very special & more a part of a growing family. I will purchase both the books & t-shirts again when appropriate.

Not sure how people are rating this so highly for their 3/4 year olds. This is written very babyish for a 4 year old! Bought for my 4 year old to give to him introducing pregnancy, but was looking for more of a story than a couple words per page almost written in baby talk. I would recommend for a 1 or 2 year old maybe almost 3 but not 3-4...

This book is totally adorable. It is full of examples of big brother doing nice things for the baby. It is just such a sweet book. The ONLY things that bug me a teensy bit are the "babies eat from bottles" 'cause it would be nice to just say "babies drink milk" and maybe show daddy feeding baby from a bottle and mommy nursing, too, just to give both sides of that whole issue, and the cupcake example of what big brothers eat. ;) Our kid is a monster with sugar so we don't give him much, and really it doesn't bug me, it just would be nice to see a better food example, but it's cute, still, and hell, who doesn't love cupcakes???? And it's kind of from the perspective of the big brother, anyway, and I'm sure our son would give cupcakes as his food example since he never gets them but does LOVE them. ;) So, anyway, sorry for rambling, but overall it is the cutest, best big brother book out there. Love the illustrations, too!!!

This book was perfect for our 2 year old grandson who awaited a new sister. It helped prepare him.

Lovely book, which we bought for our 6 year old to break the news that he is having a sibling. The sentences are kept short which is good, but also not too babyish. Our son loves it and I would definately recommend.

Excellent purchase. My 3 year old son loved reading this in the days following the birth of his baby brother and it really helped him adjust to life with a baby in the house.

I read A LOT of reviews about older sibling books so that I wouldn't waste my money buying too many. In the end, this is the only one we bought and it is just perfect! It really celebrates becoming a big brother! My son especially like the part about big brothers eating cupcake!
