Sexy lookin tool holder
It's a sexy lookin tool pouch with even sexier function. Long story short for those who don't wanna read, It's sturdy, looks and feels, like it'll last me a very long time as long as I clean and oil it once in a blue moon. It's uncommon for a welder to have a tool belt, but since I use these tools constantly I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did! Like every genuine leather accessory it comes very stiff. My tools and marker wouldn't fit but after learning from YouTube university I poured boiling water, just hot enough to where you see lil bubbles, on it and stuffed my tools in with some spacers to loosen it. Did it a few times and left it over night and now everything fits like a glove. It has a box cutter casing thing in it that happens to keep my welpers in place and sticking out just right. Without it the pouch is very spacious. Definitely give it a go if you're in the market for a good piece of equipment for work.

Good quality for a good price
As a hobbyist leather worker i was very interested to see the quality of this tool holder, especially at the $35 price point, and i must say i was pretty impressed! We’ll see how it holds up long term but knowing occidental, it should last a good long while. A little pro tip in regards to stretching the tape measure sheath out! I personally try to avoid using water to stretch out leather unless it’s for wet forming, because it can cause brittleness in the leather long term. So i opted to using a few coats of Obenauf’s Leather oil to soften up the leather with a finish coat of obenaufs heavy duty LP it add a water resistant wax layer over the top. I personally heat up the leather with a hair dryer first, then again after i’ve coated the leather to help open the pores and let it absorb. Not an Obenaufs sponsor or anything, just love their products and have used them extensively. It’s all natural and won’t go rancid over time. Mine was a bit tight initially but after working in the oil/wax it was as nice and pliable without being to loose.

This is a 20 star product.
This is a great pouch I work in a shipping department and I build crates four valves that we ship out and I use this everyday I keep everything I needed it tape measure, pen, marker, level also a utility knife I do have a 30-foot Milwaukee tape measure that is super super snug when I first put it in but now it's starting to loosen up and nothing has fallen out if you're looking for a pouch this is one I would definitely buy well-constructed very good leather if something ever happens to this one which I doubt it will I will 100% buy another five stars is not enough for this product.I could not use the little plastic holder that came with it so I can't really give you a review on that.I don't have pictures of it but I we'll put them up soon as I get some.

Occidental Quality...Enough Said!
As usual for Occidental, this is made of wonderfully quality materials. My only gripe is that the side tool holders are a little small, and so you can't fit very much in this. I'd like to see a full size utility knife slot in addition to the tool guard spot. This was a gift, so that wasn't an issue for the receiver. I think if I was buying a pouch for myself I would go for the "Pocket Caddy" which is significantly more versatile (esp. if you put a tool guard in it!).

A 30’ Fatmax will fit.
I was concerned that A 30’ Fatmax wouldn't fit. It was tight, but I did the warm water trick and now it fits perfectly. I wrapped my tape, screwdriver, and flashlight with about 1/8” to 3/16” of padding (masking tape and some folded paper) and put plastic bags around them so they wouldn’t get wet. I dipped the two front pouches in a bowl of hot water and made sure it was saturated. Then I stuffed the padded tape and tools into the pouches, and let it dry overnight. The tape and tools fit perfectly now, with just the right about of snugness, but still easy to pull them out and put them back in one-handed.I would bet you could even do this with a 35’ Fatmax, but the 30’ is my favorite because of how it fits in my hand.Glad I bought this rig, get yourself one and do the custom fitting, and you will probably finally be happy and become successful and prove your enemies wrong for good.

Best pouch for a woodworker
I’ve got a small cabinet shop and these are a staple for every employee. East to clip on and off. Perfect amount of storage. Never lose your tape, pencil or knife again.

Sturdy quality as expected :) Fits more than you might think
Came in quick and just what I expected. Can't wait to break it in!Update: Union carpenter, I've used this for 8 hours every day for over 3 months now and I'm still super happy with it!The first night I had it, I stuffed it as full as I could and ran hot water over it to stretch out the leather so it would dry that way.My 25ft fat max fits great (sideways and without clip)I took out the tool shield so I can fit more in the top slot (torpedo level, pencils, markers) It is quite deep and thin, so shorter things like drill bits are hard to fish out.As you can see in the photo, I keep the handle of my channel locks in one of the small loops and a marker or pencil in the other.A flat bar fits in the loop that goes onto your belt.I hope this thing holds up for years! Given that it is Occidental, it should!

Would get another without thinking
What a fantastic product! Thick leather, strong clip, quality rivets/stitching and craftsmanship all around. I’ve wanted an Occidental Leather tool belt since I was 19 but could never justify the cost. 29 years later I finally got SOMETHING Occidental! LOL. It may take me a min to get used to tool placement because I’m used to full on tool belt packages and or Carhartt pants with all the pockets and loops, but really that’s a non-issue.High quality all the way. I read the reviews on here before I purchased and it seemed the most common complaint was that a 25’-35’ “Fat Max” tape was super tight. Since I only use “Fat Max” tapes, I followed the advise of most here and pre-stretched it last night.I left the plastic sheath in when I did it. I filled up my kitchen sink with hot tap water just enough to cover the tape pocket, probably only about 15 min in total, pulling it out intermittently to “work” the leather, then I pushed my 25’ Fat Max into it and let it sit overnight...that’s it! This morning my 25’ fit perfectly and my 16’ Fat Max slides in and out effortlessly. (See pics). With a little more soaking and working I can see how it would easily fit a 35’ tape. All in all, very pleased with this tool holder and if it was lost I would buy another without hesitation.

Not sure what to think yet..
The FatMax baseball style tape will not fit from the factory with clip removed even. I'm currently attempting to stretch it but I'm very much doubting it will be usable. Another problem I see is actually grabbing your tape from the holster.. how are you supposed to push the tape out then grab it at the same time? Maybe I just prefer a pouch more than a tape holder. I'll give it a try but I spent a lot of money on this and so far it's meh. The most important feature is the tape holder which is shallow and extremely small. May use a leather softener on it to see if that helps.UPDATE: So after stretching my FatMax baseball tape finally fits.. but still wondering how are you supposed to grab it out of the holster? Do you push it out from the bottom and then try and catch it? Do you meant to have massive hands to use this tape holder? Unless the tape is smaller than the pouch, this isn't an easy grab. So I fabbed up a solution - a pull tab. My tape blade stop is broken and gone (first thing that grenades on these tapes), perfect spot for the leather pull. I'll give this a whirl, still not convinced it's worth even close to $62.. but I'll give it a shot.

Nice
Really like the look and feel of the product. The plasitc insert is slighly broken, which does not make unusable, but is annoying. Wish I could get a replacement for that plastic part!
