Originally I was excited to see that 30% more product came per bottle but then I realized it was an older version of the product. This is at least two series of labeling old but not actually sure how old the product is. It has a different texture and smell compared to the current formulation that is sold in stores now. Unfortunately it didn't rinse as well from my hair and left it feeling like product was left in it. Can't use it.

I bought the brunette conditioner to use with the matching shampoo, hoping to put off coloring my hair for a few more years. Although it hasn't changed my white hairs back to brown (no surprise there), the white hairs do seem less noticeable. I haven't figure out why yet. I have not used the conditioner by itself and have never colored my hair. The only con for me was the scent, which is cologne-like and better suited to a man. As a woman, I would prefer a light and fruity scent, but the product's good attributes far outweigh that consideration. My hair is shiny and easily manageable after only 5 days and I don't need many of the styling products I had to use previously. I also noticed a big reduction in breakage, which no other product has ever done for me. And, since the directions say to apply the conditioner directly to the scalp, you don't have to be careful to avoid a greasy look. In fact, this product is not even slippery at all and seems to just be absorbed by the hair. Absolutely no greasy look.

I have been using this for five year and am happy with it. My hair is longer now and I have noticed it doesn’t help with de tangling, something a pricey conditioner is expected to do. Still 5 stars for color care.
