AMVR VR Headset Protective Shell, Light & Durable Front Face Cover for Oculus Quest 2 Accessories, Preventing Collisions and Scratches (Transparent)

I like that this headset cover adds an incredible look to my quest 2 I’m just not excited knowing it will cause my headset to over heat based upon the other reviews. The reason why I am giving 5 stars is for overall design but with high hopes this is recalled and reproduced with vent holes in which case I will re purchase. Currently modifying the cover to have vent holes. Update 1: I was able to cut a very thin line along the top following the seam where the fan vent is located along the top of the headset and I can confirm I feel airflow and no overheating with the faceplate on. The side protectors do fit perfectly on the elite strap you have to slide them on from the end. They are marked with “L” and “R”Update 2: with the air vent cut into the top of the faceplate I was able to play hyperdash for several hours with no more extra heat than the device usually puts off and no problem with overheating. The only place air vents from the headset is along the top seam with about 1-2 inches of space left on either side . If you put your face near the top of the headset with the power on you can feel the air flow. This is where the manufacturing needs to have an added slit to allow air to pass through. My photos show where I have cut through to allow airflow.

Really excited about my new gear!!!The Quest 2 cover is awesome too, a hard shell which already prevented shock (love the kids but geez) and to slip on pieces for the side straps... original straps are fabric not only will prevent from breaking but also keep them from the kids hands dirt... people keep asking about how if it prevents from ventilating but it’s built to allow release Just very happy about this purchase!

Very easy to fit to the Quest 2, all pieces just snapping on to the device within seconds. The main piece has all the necessary cutouts for the cameras and the internal fans. I used a shell from another brand that partially occluded the cameras which affected tracking, fortunately no such issues with this case. The hexagonal design is a nice touch. Plus my Quest still fits into the official carry case even with the shell attached. Great product, can highly recommend.
