Orion 08889 1.25-Inch Telescope Accessory Kit (silver)

I had purchased this for my son to use with his Orion Astroview 90. This all in one kit gets you a quick start to having additional lenses and filters. I find that Orion lenses, at this price range, are built better and of better quality than, Celestron. The filters have come in very handy to him while viewing some of the planets. His most used filter is the moon filter, which does a great job to reduce the brightness to comfortably view the moon. The 2X Barlow is great to have to easily expand the magnification of his existing lenses. In my opinion, this kit is a great way to go compared to having to price each piece separately. It's definitely more cost efficient especially when they include a protective case. I'd highly recommend.

My father in law gave me his 3" aperture refraction telescope recently, but the eyepieces were showing their age with some dust specs and such degrading the view. Getting these new eyepieces made the telescope like new again. These Orion eyepieces are well constructed and the Plossl eyepiece type worked well for my telescope and my (pretty normal) eyes. The Moon, Jupiter, its moons, and Saturn and its rings are easily observable. I have used these eyepieces to spot ships in the ocean, too (from land). The 2x Barlow lens virtually doubles the number of eyepieces in one's collection, but refocusing the telescope is required when adding or removing the Barlow from the eyepiece setup. The color and neutral density filters were much more interesting than I expected, allowing one to see more detail in the planets. The metal case is a nice feature, too.

Everything in the kit works well, the two lens which are included in this kit are worth $46 each and work amazing. The detail they show for the moon and Saturn is excellent. The planetary filters and neutral density filters are great for low magnifications but not needed for the higher ones. They cost $45 for that set alone. The 2x Barlow by itself is $45. The 2x Barlow actually works you just have to focus your telescope to it. I would recommend this kit to anyone, but if you can afford it you should get the Orion 1.25" Premium Telescope Accessory Kit. I couldn't really afford it but I should have bought it anyway. So much value. Each lens is about $46 on their own.

Work as expected for a starter kit. They seem to be well made, but after holding a higher end eyepiece, they feel like toys. The filters work, but with these eye pieces they REALLY cut light way down. Moon filter is gonna be about the only thing I use.

Orion makes really quality products and this does not disappoint. Has all the attachments you'll need unless you are an avid amateur astronomer. I felt like I didn't need anything else. Well worth the money. The case inside is foam so I cut a spot to put other accessories like my flashlight. Case is nice and handy to carry stuff

Its not like I have a lot of experience. I've owned a couple refractors and now two reflectors. So, I will say I can find no flaws in the lenses optics or overall quality. The filters are a plus though a couple are rather dark. Without them I could not see the bands on Jupiter.

My daughter asked for a couple of these pieces as a gift. I found the set less expensive than purchasing separately and it had a wonderfully strong box to keep it all together with. There was even a little extra room in the box so she was able to put a couple of other pieces that she had collected into the box for safe keeping.

I bought this with my new Orion XT8, worked very well. The case has a little extra space to fit in one or two more eyepieces you may buy separately.

Perfecto, es lo que necesitaba para poder ampliar un poco mi campo de vision, el maletin exclusivo es ideal para proteger los oculares adecuadamente, y los filtros son de buena calidad, ya he podido fotografiar saturno...con el blue #80-A y realzar jupiter y sus lunas como nunca antes. Muy contento con la calidad de los productos de ORION.

Accessori irrinunciabili per arricchire la propria esperienza col telescopio. Utilizzo queste lenti e filtri con un dobson da 152mm ( Skyquest), la barlow soprattutto è estremamente valida e, nel mio caso, ha molto migliorato l'osservazione di Saturno. Inserti molto ben fatti.

I bought this set because it was excellent value. I needed a Barlow lens but it was fairly expensive if bought on it's own. By buying this kit I was not only getting the Barlow I wanted but most of the extras I would ever need. The advice I was given was to only buy items as you really need them, but that way I would have been parting with a lot more money. I hardly need the colour filters, but the neutral one is useful. I own an Orion Starblast 4.5 telescope and for that this kit is a perfect match. All the lenses are good quality. The case is sturdy and has enough space to hold the lenses that first come with a telescope.

Economici, ma prestanti. campo visivo non vasto, ma nitidezza buona.Ottimo starter kit.
