I wanted to wait until I had used and washed these towels before submitting a review. I had never purchased this type of towel before but I wanted them for two reasons 1) we go camping in an RV and I wanted towels that didn’t take up a lot of room and dried quickly 2) my expensive washer bangs when I put my regular towels in it and I didn’t want to wear out my appliance. The towels arrived very nicely packaged and on the scheduled day stated when ordered. When I took them out I was pleased with their size, thickness and appearance. Upon using them they took just a day or two to get use to, they aren’t as thick as regular towels however they were absorbent enough to get the job done. When I washed them I was very pleased, no banging in my washer and they dried in my drier very fast. After washing they looked as good as when I purchased them, no shrinkage, no pilling, even softer than they were prior to being washed. After I use them after I shower I hang them behind my bathroom door, they look nice but I think they are a little slower to dry than I had hoped due to a lack of air circulation behind the door , not the fault of the towels. They do dry, just not fast, but again I think that’s a location issue and not a towel issue (reason I only took one star off) and by the next day they are perfectly dry and smell fresh and clean. I purchased the matching hand towels once I decided how much I liked these towels. I am very happy with this purchase, I would buy these towels again from this distributor. As a result of the benefits listed above I don’t see myself returning to the former heavier type of towel in the future.

After trying 2 other brands from Amazon (Havuland and Ray Silver) the Demmex is FAR superior! The towels were so soft and cozy right out of the package. I soaked them for 24 hours like the packaging said and then laundered them in cold water, followed by a delicate cycle in the dryer. I have also been looking for Turkish towels that work well for after shower use and these absorbed so much better, compared to the other 2 brands. They feel plush like a traditional towel and absorb on contact - and this was only after one 24-hour soak and one wash! So, they should keep getting softer and more absorbent as I use them. The other towels that I tried (Havuland and Ray Silver) just pushed the water around on my skin and took a long time to absorb, even after soaking and washing multiple times. I think they were a cotton-poly blend, but the Demmex is definitely legit 100% cotton from Turkey and backed up by the certification documentation that comes with each item. I purchased these towels specifically for camping, where I will be using them for showers AND to use at the beach, so they had to work in both situations. (They couldn't just be decorative sarongs with mediocre absorbency, like so many other Turkish towel brands.) These towels have exceeded my expectations and I already placed an order for more. I plan to use these at home, for camping and the beach, because they truly work for all situations. So glad I decided to go with this brand because I am beyond happy with my purchase and would absolutely recommend to anyone else looking for high-quality Turkish towels. I had been bombarded on social media with ads for two Turkish cotton towel companies. But they were SO expensive that I shopped on Amazon to find a cheaper alternative. These are great! I am generally a use-once-and-wash person, although my husband uses his towel for repeated dryings. With these, I can use them more than once and they don't feel stiff or "crusty." They absorb well and dry quickly. The colors are vibrant and the towels are beautiful. I came here on Amazon today to buy more, and thought I'd leave a review. Perhaps the pricey towels are better in some ways, but since I don't really go to the beach, or have picnics or whatever, I really just needed bath towels, and these are great. And I love the bigger size than terry cloth towels. I did wash multiple times at first, once with vinegar, to avoid the lint (of which there was a LOT) but now they are fine. UPDATE: I ordered the white-beige towels, which have less dye, and I find them to be lint-y-er than the colored towels I have. I washed them the same, but they are still a bit pill-y. Other than that, they are the same.

I’ve had this towel for a week now and I couldn’t be more thrilled with it. It’s coziness and lightweight cotton is so inviting that I have used it every day.Beyond its beautiful craftsmanship is its easy utility. Blanket, shawl, towel, sensory processing device for my neurodivergent brain, mosquito deterrent, pillow, etc. I’m constantly finding new and delightful uses for it. I’ve essentially morphed into Ford Prefect from The Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy because I bring my towel everywhere.At the pool- it’s everything I ever wanted. Drying way faster than I thought it could, it was strange to feel like I was wrapping up in a super cute blanket while soaking wet until a half moment later when I realized it was the greatest towel ever. I mean that. It ties effortlessly and hangs on your body in a way that feels and looks luxurious and moves with you. Drying dramatically faster than all the other towels of my family and friends, I have since purchased more for each of them so they could bask in these glorious towels as well.Beyond all that awesomesauce, I valued the certifications it came with. I can’t find any thus far that are more ethically sourced and I appreciate that effort to be better humans to other humans.
