200PS Magnetic Water Pump

When I received this, I wasn't expecting a small pump. But for its size, IT PACKS A PUNCH. It uses both male threaded pvc intakes at 1 inch. At full speed it consumes 320 watts but a suprise to me is when you constrict the out flow of the pump. The more you constrict, the less power it consumes. I used a ball valve to reduce its output to 6/8 it's original output. And it was only using 240 watts! I'm impressed by how it has a built in cooling system to keep air flow over it. It's best to bolt this down to wood with a rubber matt in between the pump and the wood to reduce the vibration from the pump. It doesn't vibrate that much but it's best to keep that to a minimum! I would recommend this pump! Great buy!UPDATED 11/8/15: pump still running strong but I have a few notes to add to my review.First if you constrict the outflow of the pump, it will reduce its power consumption but it will get more warm to the touch unless cooler ambient air temp of at most 75°F is flowing over the moter. I noticed all the noise that came from it was the fan on the motor, so I build a little concrete box that fits over half of it to reflect the noise away from me while still keeping the air circulation perfect.UPDATE 2: 6/22/16The pump has been on continuously since I bought it. I took it apart for maintenance and it was still clean. It's being used for the main filtration in my pond and it still is very quiet! This pump was very worth the price!

Relatively quiet - if it's in a closed stand, noise level is fine. Very long lasting - I have one in constant service for 5 years on a 250 gallon reef tank. It started making a grinding noise and bought this as a replacement. I noticed a small snail in the impellar area and removed it. So thhe original is still going strong and I'll keep the new one for backup. Make sure you occasionally clean the accumulated dust from the fan to avoid the pump running hot.

The seller was very helpful getting parts. The pump has functioned with no issue since.It took me a few months after ordering to get this item installed. Black front housing immediately started leaking out of a hair line crack not visible by visual inspection. Unfortunately, because of the delay in install I'm being told it is no longer available for return.

Powerful pump great buy

Have this on a 300 gallon 5 foot tall marine as the main. Panworld 200 PS. Back in 2013.Fast forward to 2023 and I just replaced it with the same exact pump.Why - Old one needed cleaning running hotter and lots of salt spray all over the housing over the years. I never did one thing to that pump, never cleaned it, blocked fan vents etc. It was running hotter too.Old Pump - Temp 150F on main body (Would burn finger after 2-3 seconds on it.Power - 320 watts full open valve.New 2023 PS200 - Body temp 102 F (Much cooler to the touch)Power Full - 280 watts. With valve partially closed 230 watts.Should be good for another 10 years. Will use old one as a backup.
