JXX USGI Style Replacement Canteen Cup Lid for Rothco Item# 512

I only ordered the lid, but was sent the cup & lid together. The quality is average, there are no vent holes for steam, but given that I received a cup with the lid causes me to be satisfied. Again, this is a knock off replica of a genuine U.S. G.I. issue product. I would recommend this item for a boy scout, novice camper or outdoors-man that does not need top quality gear.

I like this cover. but it didn't fit the U.S.G.I. canteen i had to do some metal work to get it to fit correctly. It took a little while to work it to shape

It doesn't exactly fit the USGI Stainless Steel Canteen Cup without some modification. So what. Bend the lip of the lid out a bit and presto. By "doesn't exactly fit," I mean that it will snap shut on the cup very snugly and will not come off without some effort. Taking it off when it's hot and full of liquid is not a possibility without a mess. This was not a deal breaker for me because I modified it and made it work. The price can't be beat. If you're not willing to "make it fit," go to the canteen shop and get a heavy cover. It works for me.

I read the comments that this would not fit the genuine USGI issue canteen but purchased it anyway , after some very slight relieving on the lip to the lid and my USGI issue canteen it fits snug and is very servicable. Product is excellent quality and the supplier shipped it super quick , it actually arrived 6 days ahead of schedule !
